Eymir Lake is pretty much the only place people living in Ankara can feel they are in nature. However, with the crowds pulled to the lake area, now there are more buildings (close and far but around the lake area). Still, it is nice to...More

I visited with middle school students on a school field trip. Students and teachers very much enjoyed walking around this natural space. Compared to other lakes and parks in the country, it is not a highlight, but if you're looking for a natural destination within...More

If you are in Ankara and you need to relax for a day or even a couple of hours, you can go to Eymir Lake. You can find great food there. You can walk around the lake or rent a bike.

Since there is almost no nature in and around Ankara, this is a fairly nice place to take a walk or go running. However, you'll encounter a big highway, stray dogs and lots of trash that people just dump everywhere.

You can walk or ride a bicycle around the lake. From the top of the hill, the scene is beautiful. There are different restaurant and cafes front the lake.
