This is one of the least places in manila I have to visit. Unfortunately, the place looks depressing, the animals are depressed and its main attraction Mali, looks very lonely. I urge the government to rehabilitate the zoo as soon as possible or it will turn into one of the condos soon :(

It is the oldest zoo in manila which they captivated the animals for breed and entertainment. It's my first time to visit this place but the way I see the animals they were not on good shape. The oldest animal that i met at the zoo was "Maali" the elephant she is now 50 yrs. old. I think the zoo... More

I recommend Manila Zoo for kids of all ages! It's far from world class because the place is stinking and animals are not well-kept. But boy,...my kids had fun with the animals! The Ostrich were amazing and beautiful. The elephant was really huge. I just wish there was more shade and the place was a bit more cooler. There was... More

I ' ve been reading a lot of bad reviews about manila zoo scince i decided to visit Manila, and if you want the truth it is not that bad. At first, it so close and it will cost you only 2 or 3 dollars by taxi to get there. Then, cheap entrance fee, it was 100 pesos for adult.... More

I had already visited Manila zoo about 4 years ago and thought it was bad then. This time I was their with my partner her 6 yr old son, her friend and her friend's 6 yr old daughter. The conditions that many of the animals are kept in are appalling. Mali, the elephant, is still in an enclosure alone after... More

On June the 2 my family and I went to the manila zoo. when we got in the state was horrible. I also felt really sorry for the animals since there are hardly any room and they have no one to play with.So take my advice and don't go there!

I feel for the plight of animals in many Asian countries and sadly, the same goes for the animals at Manila Zoo. Without exception, they are cooped up in relatively small pens of deteriorating concrete and rusting iron. The water in their ponds is filthy and the pens are obviously not cleaned properly. The river/lake in the centre of the... More

I was pretty prepared for the shambles of this zoo.... which I accept more than other reviewers here. Is it an ADA nightmare? Yes. Is the condition poor? Yes. Are the animals looking really abused? Well, not to me... To me... as you are celebrating your 13x or more on money conversion... keep in mind this place represents that as... More
