I stopped in this mall to get a water from Starbucks but ended up walking around, trying to (unsuccessfully) connect to a Wifi network. I’m aware the Philippines is a former Spanish colony, but it’s very striking how similar this mall is to those I’ve been to in Latin America—but I prefer the latter. The building is way too small to fit the number of people shopping, the elevator (only one I could find) had to accommodate the entire mall and was operated by an attendant sitting on a stool who took up half the elevator’s space, and the accessibility in and around the mall is just horrendous. I’m glad the entrance I chose to use going into the mall was accessible, but it required use of an old lift and help from mall security to unlock.

There should be much better malls in the city, somewhere, than this one. Not awful, but there’s no need to go back.

It is located in the heart of Makati area where there are many other malls and hotels. It is one of the smallest SM malls in Manila. Most of the shops were of medium and local brands. One can enter this mall and roam around all nearby malls by overbridge without crossing the roads.

This shopping centre has everything you could imagine, it even has an ice rinc in the middle of the mall. The mall is crowded throughout the day but if you get there on opening time it will be less crowded

Mall of Asia is the mall of the Philippines. There are two more on Cebu but that's another review.

Mall of Asia has just about every type of store one can think of, from fast food to upscale restaurants and the Hard Rock Cafe too. There are movie theaters, the IMAX theater in nearby too, there are some carnival rides along Roxas Blvd and the place where hundreds of people wait for the sunset. The mall is multi-level and it is huge.

Sometimes the guards give the wrong directions, customer service varies depending on the store or restaurant. It's common to see a Filipina glued to her phone.

This is a good place to get some necessary things for your vacation, souvenirs, t-shirts, and beach accessories.

When traveling to the Philippines, it's relatively safe, but there is risk of theft, especially cell phones, just as any country.

English is the common generic language for countries to communicate, most Filipinos can speak English.

It's not uncommon to be approached by girls or guys looking for relationships with foreigners. Unfortunately this and attracting foreigners via dating sites has developed into a epidemic with HIV and other STDs and STIs.

The mall is busy from the moment they open. Getting transportation during closing can be a challenge because of everyone and employees going home. Traffic is similar to Los Angeles or New York.

Manila is typically the first place most tourists stop before heading off to one of the other islands. It's important to note that if planing island hopping or boat trip, not all boats are checked regularly to ensure sea worthiness, so many boats do not have radios to call for emergency assistance and if away from a cellphone tower, pray that there is a nurse or doctor who can help.

One other point, Filipinos are going through an identity crisis where skin lightening and avoiding getting tan has resulted in preferential treatment towards light skin people. They should watch the movie Moana, and learn to appreciate their identity of being tan. People will start doubting that they are Filipinos because how can one live on an island in the Pacific and not be tan. They also show preference towards white people which is a big problem to attract tourists.

The mall is big with lots of outlets for shopping & variety of restaurants etc. Thumbs up. This is my 2nd visit actually but the mall is under massive renovation. Going from the south side to north side of the mall is a challenge for me. Lot of detour & diversion within the mall itself. I spend 1 hour going up & down the huge mall trying to find the Korean restaurant at the South Side. No thanks to the security personnels which are just as lost as i am. The directions they pointed me to is a roller-coaster ride. The mall should have more information counters with real people, after all is The Mall of Asia.

The biggest malls in the world are in the Philippines. SM provides consumers and customers the best brands in one roof. SM City Manila is one of the best mall and it's only at the back of the City Hall of Manila. I saw how SM manila was built because my school is only across, in the wall ciy. Very historic and strategic place for SM manila.

the mall that we went were so huge that we end up finish half of our day trip here..wish we have more time spent here.the sunset next to the bay is also none other than beautiful..another reason to be here is that there is a halal food restaurant nearby for muslims to eat especially for muslims travellers like us, its just a great place to hang out and chill-out, peace! :)

This is a very large sprawling mall, some inside and quite a lot out which makes the centre feel like a city in itself. Security everywhere so very safe. Good choice of shops but not quite as good as Robinsons in the city I thought.
