Coco ferry’s “business class” is truly a horrendous experience. At 1820 rupees or over 110 euro this is an insane price for something that is in every way inferior to economy. If you have an option, fly. If you don’t, then please choose economy. The business class is a smoldering pit of mildew and mold. While they advertise AC and it very well might have AC, they don’t use it—it was extremely hot and humid. Outside conditions were cooler and certainly more pleasant. If you think (like I did) that you might escape this prison and breathe some fresh air outside, you are wrong. You are not allowed to step onto any part of the deck that has access to fresh air. There is a loud “gag real” with a running laugh track that is absolutely nauseating. If you enjoy any aspect of the ocean or being on a boat, this will take those sights, sounds, and smells away from you and replace them with a nightmarish alternative. The crew are mainly there to keep you imprisoned—not a single time did they check to see if the temp, blaring “gag real”, or any other aspect of the experience was tolerable. Again, truly horrendous.

During Covid restrictions in July 2020, no refund possible for a trip that finally didn't take place. No cancellation email received and impossible to find a mutual agreement. The communication was very slow and bad. For the trip Mahe-Praslin, I highly recommend Seychelles Airways (for a few Rupies more) where the cancellation and the fully refund was done on a fast and correct way.

Partager svp Avoid booking anything with this company as they do not give you a refund even during this pandemic. 4 months after requesting a cancellation due to cancelled flights to only receive a letter from a lawyer spouting about non-refundable, non-changeable conditions 🤬🤬

I took Cat Coco twice - once from Mahe to La Digue nonstop and then from Praslin to Mahe. Both times, the ferry was clean, staff were courteous, and we left/arrived on time. We bought the Mahe-La Digue ticket in advance since we were coming straight from the airport. It was a bit confusing at first finding out the process for exchanging our online "voucher" for an actual ticket but staff were around and helped get us in the right offices. Then we went to wait for boarding. Another ferry (to Praslin) was leaving at almost the same time and at first we waited in the wrong line because it wasn't clear. But at least we didn't miss anything! There is a small cafe at the jetty but we only bought water. The trip to La Digue was direct, we sat on the inside lower level. There was air conditioning and the boat was pretty stable throughout (my friend does get a bit motion sick and she was fine). We only had small bags, but other passengers had larger bags that were put in a hold and upon arrival they waited on the dock to claim their bags - that part looked a bit chaotic. For our return to Mahe, we decided to do the inter island ferry to Praslin and then transfer to Cat Cocos for the trip to Mahe. THere is a Cat Cocos office at the La Digue jetty and we bought our ticket the day before with a credit card (take your passport). The staff answered our questions about how to get the inter island ferry (and to make sure we got the right one so we would make our connection). Once on Praslin, there was a well organized queue for boarding the ferry. We were able to go up to the upper deck and sit - open to the air but a roof directly overhead to protect from sun. Again, service was efficient, the ferry was clean. A small bar was selling beverages. The Cat Cocos is a great way to get between the main Seychelles islands. Check the time listings in order to decide your best trip. We split our return trip because the only direct La Digue-Mahe ferry left too early in the morning for us. The schedule is posted online or was available at the jetty office.
