Beautiful replica of big ben but a lot smaller, an unexpected bus of indian travellers arrived and cover area, stopped traffic just to take photos so couldn't get ours till they had left, Had food in restaurant on the square so we could watch over clock tower while we had lunch.

We looked at this in pictures before arriving in the Seychelles and after been on the island for a few days decided to visit Victoria. The clock tower isn't as big as we assumed. It's nice to look at and maybe a convenient meeting point but other than that I wouldn't be rushing to see it. People have to appreciate... More

It is a very small replica of the one in London. In the centre of town and very picturesque. It is very close to Victoria Market

Before arriving in the Seychelles I had seen pictures of the clock tower so assumed it was something I needed to see. When I got to it was was entrely underwhelmed. Mahe Island is small so there are not too many man-made attractions. Guess that is why it is considered a landmark, but compared to the natural beauty of the... More

That was lovely to see it but that was also so small that I was skeptical about the interest of the spot ! What can I say more???

Small little piece of artwork stuck in the middle of a round-about - quite interesting to look at but not good for photography - too many cars around.

If you are in Victoria take the short walk from the market to see the Clock Tower. The tower is in the middle of a round about. You walk by some nice gift shops. The post office is just few meters from the clock

This clock tower at the crossroads in Independence Avenue, Victoria, Mahe Island, Seychelles is, I suppose, nothing special to look at. It was built by Gillet & Johnson of Croydon (UK) around in 1890. It was installed in Mahe in 1903 and was painted silver to celebrate Queen Victoria's golden jubilee. The clock tower was called "Little Ben" after its... More

A little hype I would say. The clock tower is quite small and you may not even notice it if you pass by! We had to check with people to see if this was THE one ! If you skip, you won't really miss much!
