A spectacular view of the southern part of Mahe Island from this place. Also it is a historical location for Seychelles people where the first school was built here for slave children to study and queen Victoria ll visited here during colonial era.

No ticket required. It’s a very small place with a little covered area where you can sit and enjoy the views. The view of the island is great from there so it’s worth visiting

Bus from Victoria to Mission Lodge Lookout (2 Replies)
Hi, Could someone tell me the bus number(s) to get to and back from Victoria to Mission Lodge Lookout, please? Also how often do they run and how long (time) is the journey? Is the bus station in Victoria easy to find from the cruise terminal? Thanks

Bus 14 is going to Port Launay via Sans Souci road and stops also at Mission Lookout. It runs every 2 hrs during weekdays starting with 6.15 am from Victoria Terminal. Last bus leaves 5.10 pm from Port Launay. Victoria Terminal is 15-20 mins easy walk from the terminal. Miki

Price/Availability of Taxi for the Day? (2 Replies)
Our cruise ship will arrive in Victoria at approx. 10:00 a.m., departing at 11:00 p.m., so we have a long afternoon and evening to explore Mahe. Some are reporting that you can walk from the cruise terminal into town in about 20 minutes, and also walk the other direction to the Botanical Gardens in about 20 minutes. Does that sound about right? Would we be able to get a taxi from the Botanical Gardens to take us up to Mission Lodge lookout then on to Beau Vallon where we would spend the...More

Advice needed on a 4 day trip to Seychelles with kids (9 Replies)
Hi, it's advice time again...I've gone through the forum extensively but still think I should run this by the experts. I will be visiting Seychelles from 9th Oct to 13th (4 days) as a family of 4. I will arrive in the morning at 7am, check-in at Palm Seychelle (I've requested early check-in already) where my rental car will arrive by 9. I plan to be on the road by 10am knowing that it will get dark by 6pm. My flight back is on the morning of the 14th, so I have 4 FULL days. A few...More

Hi Fizz, I see that you want to find the most secluded beaches on Mahe: Anse Machabee and Carana. They are located in the extreme northern part of Mahe, close to North East Point. I would split the 4 days as follows: Day 1: I would try to have a less exhausting day since this is your first day and you leave Dubai at 2.30 am. It is better to sleep some hours when you arrive at your accommodation before you start exploring the island. I would visit Carana Beach and Anse Machabee and end...More
