What an amazing day we had! Incredible crew were friendly, helpful and obviously knowledgeable. The boat was perfect, plenty of fishing space and well equipped. Could not recommend more highly. Great day with friends!

I was staying at the One & Only and Moosa’s team, captained by Vaahko (regarded as one of the best fisherman in the Maldives), picked me up in the morning directly from my resort. They had snacks and refreshments on the boat. The 3 man crew were all extremely friendly and cognizant of my well being throughout the trip. It was a hot and flat day on the water...they made sure I was hydrated, helped make sure I got good coverage with sunscreen, offered for me to swim, and provided tips and direction when popper fishing. For an avid fisherman the Giant Trevally “GT” is high on the list of bucket list target species, and the best and most exciting way to accomplish this is by using poppers (top water fishing lure) Disclaimer....you should know this fishing technique is tiring and is not sit and wait fishing. If you’re an avid fisherman there is no better way to see an apex predator of the reef nail a lure. The boat and fishing equipment are excellent quality. There is a covered area on the boat where a few people can escape the sun for a bit while on the excursion or in motion chasing down the next bait ball in search of a feeding predator on the reef. I would highly recommend the Maakeyolhu fishing team and look forward to my next excursion with them.

The captains Moosa & Vaiko are superb and take you to the best places to catch fish. they are super helpful and make the entire trip an enjoyable one. Its not a large commercial enterprise, so you really get good experience and they genuinely enjoy you catching and reeling in fish and its such a blast. Eight of us from New York went on this last november and we couldnt stop talking about how great the experience, how the staff was. After all is said and done, they took us to a small sand island where a fantastic meal was prepped for is while we were swimming around. This is an experience you should absolutely have and i think its definitely higher quality than the once resorts offer you. They come and pick you up and drop you off. Highly recommended!

This is the 2nd time we engaged their service and once again, they didn't disappoint us. Even though it was the crew's fasting month, the crew which consists of Wako, Amaty and the person who Steers the boat (a patient and quiet guy whom I have forgotten to get his name) and of cos our dear friend, Moosa, just willingly took us out to fish almost anytime we feel like going. Amaty must be one of the most helpful and funny guys I have seen. He was ready to help at all times and he must have loved his job cos he did everything with a smile. Wako too! This is the 2nd time we were out fishing with Wako. We went fishing with Wako in 2014 and he took us to where all the big fishes were. GTs just came non stop. This time, Wako took us to a different atoll and though we had less GT but plenty of red bass, job fish, graroupa, torak and shark. We released most of the fish back to the sea and only kept a few job fish and garoupa for our dinner for the 6 nights we were there. We had been with other fishing charter in Maldives who claimed they could get us big fish but we ended up disappointed and did not even have a chance to touch the fishing rods. With Moosa, Wako and Amaty of Maakeyolhu Fishing Charter from Male, Maldives, you don't have to worry about sitting there waiting for fish. You should be worried about not having time to rest as you will probably be casting line non stop and have fun fighting the fish just like my husband and I did. Thank you, Maakeyolhu, for taking us to where the big fishes are. Can't wait for our next fishing trip with you again.
