The library has a history display of kl. It also has a great view of KL old town from the air con top floor. It also has great toilets.

Beautiful library and looks well equip. But unfortunately staffs are not consistent in allowing entry to kids. We came last week and my 9 year old was allowed access to borrow books (we were told no sitting around). We went again today and the guys at the front door told us that kids cannot enter kids borrowing area at all, even just to pick books for borrowing. Only parents may enter the kids area to borrow on behalf of kids. There is lack of signage informing access policy and the flip-flop in direction from staffs arr confusing. We ended up wasted a trip here today.

Modern library

May 2017 • Solo

Kuala Lumpur Memorial Library is situauted on Merdeka Square neat the flag pole. Although it is a modern building it has interesting local architectural features like the moghul style domes and window shapes.

This stunning library is located in Merdeka Square next to KL city Gallery building and it was built in year 1989. Although it was built during the modern era, its design and architecture are blend harmoniously with other historical buildings in that area which are over hundred years old. Worth visiting for some photos.
