Passing through Starhill Gallery to cross over to Pavillion from Ritz Carton Hotel. Still lots of unoccupied stores and deserted. Pandemic lock down effects? Nevertheless still well maintained and clean.

If you want to look round some high end shops this is worth a visit. If you don't want to buy anything then good to just look but a bit tedious as it's much of a muchness. The shopping centre across the way,not he Pavilion is better for buying and feels more accessible.

We attended a wonderful cooking class at Starhill Culinary Studio - lots of amazing kitchens, talented Chefs, hands on cooking classes and we sat down after the class to enjoy what we had prepared. Friendly, professional & great value. Daily public classes and they organise private classes too. Wish we'd stayed in KL longer to experience more!

This is the place if you are searching for branded watches where mostly all kind of brands is available here but mostly only the premium type are available. It also have branded designer boutique. Marriot 5 star hotel is connect to this mall so that mean mostly the store here are of 5 stars. Dimsum chinese food is nice here but only at the concouse level. The rest of the food i would say only soso. If you want to try the locals popular food than you must visit the bext mall which is call Lot 10. It's the first branded shopping mall built during the 80s but choices are not too many.

There is a mall at Starhill Gallery immediately behind the Marriot or accessible from level 1 of the Ritz Carlton. Shops are high end brands - LV, Dior, Perfumes, etc. A Tea lounge can be found at the "Indulge" level. You can find restaurants one floor down; at the "Feast" level, Spice of India, Tarbush-Middle Eastern food, seafood, Chinese, Indonesian, Korean restaurants and others. There is a live band for entertainment.
I have been to Pavillion(across the road) a number of times before and never knew that this mall ever existed. Largely because the main access to it is through 5 star hotels. Food is good, environment is cosy, not crowded and prices are on the high side. Suitable for special occasions. At any rate, its worth a look see.

i've been living in KL (and visiting most countries in Asia) for more than two years now, I finally found the only restaurant/coffee shop in Asia… No wait! actually the absolutely only place in Malaysia that cares about their customers and the only place that provides real customer service. it's the Starhill Tea Salon STS.

Today I was having a light early dinner with friends in here and a small incident happened, the staff reaction was instantaneous they made sure that we leave this place satisfied. I'm definitely going back there and I am definitely recommending this place to others. Thumbs up and way to go :)

Kuala Lumpur is a city abounding with shopping malls, ranging in size from absolutely enormous to just extremely large, all of which seem to be in competition to be the loudest and most manic.

Situated at the top of Bukit Bintang and opposite the Pavillion is the Star Hill Gallery (bukit = hill, bintang = star in Malay Bahasa) providing an oasis of comfort and civilization. The background music is soft and pleasant and the lighting, provided by crystal chandeliers, is low and restful. There are carpeted areas with soft seating, and a tea room where you can refresh on comfortable sofas.

The shops are mainly top-range designer outlets where the rich or lottery winners can spend to their hearts content; however there is a big Debenhams store on the second floor – perfect for us lesser mortals. Also, a Debenhams Café which sells proper sandwiches, such as egg mayo, without any weird and wonderful extra ingredients.

Of course in a country where the normal greet is not “how are you?” but “have you had lunch yet la?”, the basement houses the ubiquitously restaurant area. This one is rather good.

It is worth visiting the toilets as water to the hand basins is provided by a lady turning a large water-wheel.

Right across the street from the Pavillion Mall is Star Hill gallery with a choice of excellent restaurants and live music. We used the entrance through the JW Marriott when we went for dinner or shopping. The mall has a Debenhams department store as well as a number of luxury retailers like Casa Armani.
