Not to be missed cocktails at sunset from the now unused helipad atop the Menara (Tower) KH. A bit pricey - 50 ringgit entry fee which gets you one drink - but absolutely worth it for the all round views of this vibrant city. The magic starts with the sunset and then the whole cityscape scintillates and glows as all the skyscrapers gradually light up, many in different colours, especially the KL Tower.
Because it was so brilliant we stayed on and had something to eat which was actually rather disappointing: fairly tasteless chicken wings, flabby pizza - that sort of thing. A pity when Malay food is so fabulous.

I was concerned after reading several rough reviews, but I had a good experience. Admission price was 50 ringgits and that included a large drink. All the male customers wore long pants as they advertise that dress is smart-casual. What makes this place special is that there is no glass windows to look through.

You feel yourself in the city centre surrounded by skyscrapers while drinking your coctail in open space as it is a heli pad. Only cons is you might catch the rain and there is no shelter on the roof. Otherwise quite nice place to absorb the city.

What a terrible experience! The downhill started with an unassuming and uninviting elevator lobby with no signage or anyone from the bar there to escort or guide the guests.
You arrive at a dingy restaurant and need to order from the menu shoved into your hands. Only after ordering the drinks, one is allowed to go upstairs to the roof top above.
The inexcusable part.
My wife wanted to start with a Mocktail first...but they didn't seem to have any mocktail in the menu. We were suggested to order a cocktail sans the alcohol...but they would charge the price of cocktail. A complete rip off!!
The terrible part.
I handed over my credit card for the two drinks we ordered. I was expecting my Cc to be returned back after the charge as is normal in other establishments. But NO! In exchange of my Cc to be returned I was asked to deposit RM 200 as hold money. What a dis-respect to the customer and what a shame for an establishment that claims to be one of the best in KL.
This made me boil over, had a heated argument with the floor manager and left the venue immediately.
After having been to Vertigo at Banyan Tree, Marini's on 57, Skybar at Traders etc. ; all having beautiful views and excellent customer friendly service the encounter at Heli Lounge Bar was such a big big let down.
Wish there was a zero or negative ranking available for reviews.

Terrible doesnt even sum the experience, u pay 50 for cover charge and get a drink out of it, that wasnt even a big deal, as u r paying for the view and assumed they need to cover their loss post mco, felt just helping a business out.. But the moment u step ur foot ontop, the crowd up there is unbelievable, there is no physical distancing at all, tables are close to each other, forget 1m, ur chair is touching another table person's chair, a table that should sit four pax is packed with 8, when u ask the waiter for clarification he is rude, and ya most of the waiters were not even wearing mask.. A cluster waiting to happen, really unsafe.. The ambience that was there previously is not there anymore.. Extremely dissapointed.. They should limit their visitors, not allow more than they can accomodate..

This is our 4th visit to the Heli Bar in 4 years. Each time we come they up the ante and the prices. This time we had 17 people and each person was charged 50rm to enter which gave them one drink. We went up to the helipad and went to order a beer only to be told they were 40rm each. We left.
This is such a disappointment and we will not be returning.

The view was great and the rooftop terrace had a nice ambiance. Basically all the tables were already taken by the time we arrived a bit after half past six (the sunset is at 19:30), so be prepared to snatch the first available chairs.
We were surprised by the 50RM/pp entrance fee. It did include one drink though, but the cocktails were rather watery. There was a list of about ten items to choose from, a few cocktails, beer or a soda.
I could visit again, if the entrance fee was lower or the cocktails better.

Looked forward to enjoy a drink and the beautiful view . Unfortunately, me and my guests each had to pay RM 100 as minimum consumption charge. Such a pity . We always liked to go there. Not any more now. Actually all people who came up with me in the elevator left immediately after hearing about the super high charges... Luckily many other choices of rooftop bars on walking distance..

Been told it's a bottle policy on Fridays - you order a bottle then get in.
I was alone so they proposed me to buy two drinks for 100 RM - that's too much, but I walked a long way to turn around at that point.
So I entered
The view is breathtaking, but that's it
The first drink(whiskey sour) smelled like dish washing fluid
The second one was okayish but they decided to make another one by mistake and asked me to pay for it - never ordered anything extra, I just asked my two drinks that I paid for on the entrance.
So I refused, and I was stubborn and finally they let me go
The toilet smells like hell.

Took a cab to Menara KH and up to 38 floor helipad for drinks. Cost 50RM ($11.55 US) each to get up to the helipad and this was good for one drink. Additional drinks were about 50 RM each. After sunset we went down to 34th floor, Nomo Restaurant, for dinner. Glad we had the opportunity to enjoy the great view from the top.

What's the red wine brand of your home pour?

Sorry, I do not know the answer to this question. Suggest you go to their website and get an email address and ask them directly, if this information is critical to your visit. There is a restaurant on the same level as the bar and I would recommend eating there after having your sunset drinks on the helipad. Enjoy.
?There is an entrance fee

Hi, are 15-17 year olds allowed to enter the bar with accompanying adults? If yes, children aged 7 allowed too? Would be arriving before 9pm which is the ‘nightclub’ session. Thanks.

Hello, I am sorry, but I don‘t know for sure. I guess, that it is not possible. At least as we were up there, we didn‘t spot any minors. I recommend you ask a local or maybe the staff at your hotel might know. Enjoy KL!

You have to buy a drink on the way in or you don't get access up to the heli pad, I am sure it can be a soft drink but you will have to buy something.

I have read that if you arrive after 9:00 p.m. (21:00) you will be required to purchase two bottles of wine or liquor in order to get a table on the helipad. Prior to that time you just need to purchase 1 drink. Apparently there is a dress code after 21:00.

Yes you can. I believe it opens around 5pm. To go up tot he top you have to buy a drink. There’s a bar on the top as well and tables and chairs set up. You can sit or walk around
