Overview
More
Central Market began life as a wet market in 1888, built by Yap Ah Loy, the city’s Chinese Kapitan. It served as a prominent landmark in colonial and modern-day Kuala Lumpur. When the wet market was relocated in the 1980s, the Malaysian Heritage Society successfully petitioned against the demolition of the building. Now, Central Market Kuala Lumpur is an iconic attraction and a delightful destination for tourists, shoppers and art lovers.

Not heavy, heavy like some markets. Lot of Chinese antiquity stalls. Not sure as too their authenticity. Usual clothes, and watch stalls. Very good food stalls on upper floor. Choices for most people.

High standard esp inside. Air conditioning nice. Good range and quality. More authentic souvenirs and products. Food options good and clean. Better option for safer shopping. Outside stalls more like Chinatown and less standard. Art and craft stalls.

This is the best place to visit if you are a day tripper looking for a souvenir from Malaysia. There is a variety of food on offer and the building is just a street away for the big outdoor market.

Lots of hand made and decorative items sold here as well as clothes. You can probably find a nice gift here, unless you're looking for a fashion item for gift. Though the prices are ok they are not super cheap, depends on your budget, probably...More

A good collection of souvenir shops and some food stalls! Nothing amazing but still worth a visit of you are in the area. The big "Central Market Kuala Lumpur" sign out the front is great for photos!
