KL City Gallery is a scenic spot at KL CBD next to the Indepence Centre. The Gallery used to be a printing house. Inside the Gallery, you can walk through the history of Malaysia and understand the cultural diversity of the country. Besides, one can learn the current development of Malaysia, especially the city of KL.

Actually is a good place to save a pic of your trip to Kl . a little gallery with little information, but gives you some background to KL and holidays, on the ground floor. upstairs is bare apart from a cool light show, showing you about the city over a model of the city which is good to see.

We visited KLCG because of its new bakery. However we enjoyed the art gallery more. Pretty interesting history of Kuala Lumpur is detailed here together with photographs. Bakery was fascinating but the waiting line was loooooooong!

Good way to learn a little history on how Kuala Lumpur starts as a city. We had great photo’s taken at the gallery. We are treated to a short laser show with a background history of KL infrastructures etc...

This is a KL focused museum set over 2 floors with the 1st focused on information about KL and the history of the city. The 2nd floor is more about fun, where there's a lot of models of city landmarks, a 3D art type photographic opportunities, a model of KL city and a cinematic style presentation about Malaysia.

To be honest, unless you’ve never been to KL before, a lot of the information is presented all over the city, albeit piecemeal. So there wasn’t really anything that I hadn’t seen before. The 3D art was kind of fun. The models of KL city and Sultan Abdul Samad Building look like a breathtaking labour of love. The video show was pretty boring, it was like a cinematic version of statistics for Malaysia and KL.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the gallery also has tourist information and booking services, although I did not use these. The gift show is huge and if you’re looking for souvenirs, this is as good a place as any in the city.

If you’re a first timer in the city and not been in the city long either, then this is a good stop.

We were blown away by the free guided tour of Kampung Baru - so much good food, history and insight packed into a few hours. Our guide, Shah, was excellent, and by the end of the tour we were wishing we had one more day in the city. Do not miss this opportunity.

I went there to get some informations about the tickets to Lake Gardens Tram that they sale but don't know anything about it... when I ask the staff about where the tram stops and if it realy goes inside the park the anwser was "ask the driver i really don't know", they are not obligated to know everthing but at least it will be nice to show some efort and try to help the client ... I gave up and i didn't went for that plus I had to wait for 1h .. turns out that they are not operating between lunch time, even do its not written any where (brochures, flyers, website etc)

Dear Valued Visitor, Thank you for your recent visit to the gallery. We take your feedback seriously and have investigated the matter thoroughly. Based on our findings, it is a possibility that the person you asked for help wasn't our staff, rather someone you thought was our staff standing beside the Information Counter. It might have been a busy hour with lots of visitors at that time, hence you might have mistakenly thought that person you asked for help was our staff. Rest assured, the answer you received is not the kind of statement our staff will make, we guarantee that, as all our staff have been trained and are monitored very very closely to ensure only the best service and information is given out to every visitor. Anyhow, we do apologize on behalf of the irresponsible individual who gave you such a harsh answer. We advise everyone in need of information to check with our Info staff inside the counter. Also, we have taken an extra measure to make our info easily accessible; by having ready-made directions and answers in little information cards which visitors can easily pick up and read at the centre. This new added service will be available in about 3 months. As for the Trams which are operated by the local City Council, they do not operate during lunch hour and all schedule and details of the service are available at the leaflets section. We apologise again for the incident you encountered and look forward to your future visit. Thank you!
