Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.

Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

Had so much wonderful food on this tour. 4 separate stops with Malay, Indian, Chinese and and a 'snack' stop. Farah and Ken did a fantastic job of selecting some awesome meals and sharing a decent amount of local culture, customs and history to make this tour a great all rounder. Remember to starve yourself for the entire day as... More

This tour really surprised me. I expected to eat great food that only locals knew about and happily did so. I did not expect to wander through many different areas of KL whilst munching on snacks and learning about the history and culture of this city. Charlie was a brilliant guide who clearly loves this city and has a passion... More

My husband and I were the only two that signed up for the food tour that day, so we were given a private tour. We went to four different places and were given a ton of delicious and authentic food (make sure to go to the tour hungry)! I was really impressed by the selection of drinks we got as... More

This is a fantastic food tour Takes you to different parts of the city which you will never go as a tourist. Then you get a taste of very good local cuisine, Malay , Chinese and Asian Plus you learn so much of the culture from the comments of the guide Very highly recommended

Farah was charming, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and took us to four excellent places covering the three traditional ethnic food cultures of Kuala Lumpur (Malay, Chinese & South Indian.) Eating in authentic places without another tourist in sight this was a real culinary experience. We took the metro to the pick up point which is outside of KL (so do allow time)... More

We discovered this through Tripadvisor and booked ahead of our visit, which was easy over email. We were then emailed the day before of details when and where to meet. Charlie was our tour guide for the evening, his English is first class, as is his sense of humour. We stopped at places to eat, which you've always looked at... More

We had this trip included with our bamba bus pass and it was a great night. Food was amazing and our guide Farah was great fun and really informative. We visited 4 stops Malaysian, Chinese, pancakes and Indian and learnt a lot about the culture and food of Malaysia. Main tip be hungry and don't fill yourself up at the... More

Great food tour thanks to both the food and our personable and chatty local guide, Charlie. The tour starts outside KL so be sure you give yourself ample time to taxi out there. We were an embarrassing 20 minutes late to the meeting point thanks to our taxi driver turning a 35 minute ride into almost 70 minutes. Charlie and... More

We started at a train station in the middle of nowhere wondering what we had gotten ourself into. The a guy named Charles turned up and asked us to get in his van. I know, right. We drove to a Chinese hawker market and had some incredible dishes and drinks. We then drove for 20 mins and went to a... More
