Food has always been part of our communities. Having multiple ethnicities where you live gives you great chance to be a part of so many celebrations. And with all these celebrations there is always a meal. So you see, us Malaysians take our food very seriously.

Food Tour Malaysia Food in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur is unique. Some dishes here you will not be able to find in other parts of the country, and if you do, chances are that they probably could trace their roots to these 2 cities. Penang being the only other exception. The daily ritual of eating communally is one of the most endearing of Malaysian experiences. It is warm, and it's at the dinner table where you get to really understand and get the authentic 'feel', the heartbeat of the Malaysian community.

We started at a train station in the middle of nowhere wondering what we had gotten ourself into. The a guy named Charles turned up and asked us to get in his van. I know, right. We drove to a Chinese hawker market and had some incredible dishes and drinks. We then drove for 20 mins and went to a... More

KL is food heaven. However, it's not quite easy to get delicious and cheap food in KL. Try this out! You can get a tasty Nasi Beriani at only RM5.90 for Chicken, RM7.90 for Beef and RM9.90 for Lamb. By adding RM1.00 you will get free flow drink. It's worth it!

I have been to KL a number of times, but this tour introduced me to a number of local dishes I wouldn't otherwise have tried. We did the evening tour. Farah did a great job and was very knowledgable. We stopped at four locations and sampled a range of local foods from chinese to indian to malay. Not everything was... More

We did this a couple of weeks ago and we really enjoyed it. We had Piaree and Charles as our hosts. We had food at four different places and enjoyed all of it. The hosts were fantastic and also entertaining. We did it earlier on in our two week trip to Malaysia and I am glad we did as it... More

My husband and I were so glad we decided to spend one of our evenings in KL doing this tour. It was great fun and with Charlie as our guide we had lots of laughs. We got to try loads of different types of foods from local stalls and restaurants and it opened our eyes a lot to the mixed... More

We had a great time on this tour. Just my wife and I with guide Charles VIK. Starting at Bangsar Station LRT we walked through Brickfields and later onto Chinatown. Charles is funny and knowledgable and the food was awesome. Well worth the money.

What a great night we had with Charles. Traveled by mini bus to three different street food venues popular with the locals. The food was amazing, especially the roti, nasi lemak and a delicious mango lassi. Charles even took us to "Little India" for an unexpected walk along a very colourful street preparing for Diwali. We needed a walk -there... More

My husband and I took the Off the Eaten food tour with Charlie. We were bought to 4 different places to try the local and non-touristy cuisine of Kuala Lumpur that we never would have found on our own. During the 5 hour tour, we sampled Chinese (the best hokkien mee), local street food (best "carrot cake"), local markets with... More
