A great way to experience the other senses when the sight is turned off. Since this walk in the dark with a cane, following tactiles and green light signals, my kids (4 & 7yo) are more aware of these features in our city. The guide, a Special Olympics athlete, proved that a human being can raise to meet unthinkable challenges, like running in complete darkness, when I wasn't even able to make a step without checking everything with my foot first.. A very cool idea!

I had the pleasure of experiencing the dark room tour with 4 other friends, just last week-end.There were so many things that made our minds reconsider and re-evaluate, for living as a person with sight, of which we have been taking it for granted. Michelle was wonderful in guiding us through the obstacles in the dark and we admired her so much. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to discover the world of darkness and to discover one-self while walking through the maze of darkness. Try it! You will not regret it. Amazing.

Truly thought provoking, this experience gives you an idea of what it is like for someone unable to see.
From a personal point of view it was a practical experience that helps build empathy for the blind in our community. I also learnt about myself when faced with the loss of the sense of sight.
From a professional point of view as a developer of software it provided a valuable insight into how a machine (such as a cash machine) can quickly become impossible to use for a blind person (touch screen versus metal buttons for example).
Michelle was an excellent guide, helping me to adjust as we explored the different areas of the tour. I toured solo as my tour time was between other groups.
I think that this tour would work really well for team building exercises as you need to speak clearly to make up for your loss of sight.

An unique and memorable experience to remind ourselves to appreciate our sight and what we have. The service was good and exceptional even it's in the dark. Thanks to Lynn, Pang and Looi for guided us throughout the journey with very attentive details.
Give it a try and definitely recommended!

We walked in before our visit to KL Tower / KL ECO Park as DID is sited in a shopping mall only several minutes' walk away. Experienced, albeit just for a brief while, what it was like to be without sight as we made our way through parts of a simulated urban area in total darkness. The experience of having to rely exclusively on our other senses while going about everyday routines, and the sudden and jarring reversal between being sighted and visually-challenged once we were out of the darkness was mind-blowing. Made us appreciate so much more what we usually take for granted. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole activity was very professionally run. Our guide Matthew was simply awesome - calming, patient, and gentle in bringing us into his world. Definitely a must-go if you're in the vicinity before or after visiting KL Tower / KL Forest ECO Park! Great experience for older children and teens too, I imagine.

It was an interesting 1 hour session with Michelle, our tour guide during the dark tour. The session was fairly interactive with questions posed throughout the session so my children were not bored. The experience was definitely an eye opener to the challenges faced by the visually impaired in managing their daily lives. You may purchase tix through their website or If ur local best to have the touch n go app e wallet .. they do accept credit card but they had to set it up for us first. The best is to pay cash .
Overall, come highly recommended just for the experience .

We constantly strain our eyes in front of computer screen, mobile screen, and every other types of screens which would cause poor eyesight.
DID is an experience you'll definitely enjoy. Without such sight, we rely so much on a stick, our hands. We feel using our hands, we had trouble trying to use the ATM, not knowing what to do. We couldn't even figure out food or herbs packed in plastic bag. We rely so much on our eyes.
Treasure your eyes and be kind to the blind. I'd recommend at least a one time experience.

I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of this experience. Everything was well thought out, planned and smoothly executed by the facilitators who were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Oh, and they are blind.
Venue is in a mall, so there is ample parking for car drivers and a train station nearby for train hoppers.
A very memorable and enjoyable experience indeed.

My husband and I went for this experience and our guide was Ee Beng. I thought it was a very well-planned programme. We were in for 50mins(extra 5mins as we had good conversation with our guide), time flew past so effortlessly as we were so immersed. As we entered the experience with our sticks and our eyes are no longer useful in the dark, my other senses heightened immediately. It was a fascinating experience; I have a more informed understanding for the visually challenged as well as more appreciation for all our other bodily senses. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything else, thank you Ee Beng and DID!!

Hi.. is this attraction involving something spooky n scary? Coz i'm afraid of dark. I always imagining that there would be some ghosts in their spooky appearances or psychopats.
But i really want to take my children..
