Come and visit Lazat Malaysian Cooking School and bring back an authentic taste of Malaysia! Our hands-on cooking classes are held Monday to Saturday and presented in English by entertaining Malaysian instructors. We are located just outside Kuala Lumpur city centre and our school is furnished with purpose made demonstration tables and individual cooking stations. Each day of the week we teach a different ethnic menu and provide detailed explanations of ingredients and cooking methods. Students individually prepare their own 4-course lunch, usually consisting of an appetizer, main course, side dish and dessert. Malaysian cuisine is a unique fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Baba-Nonya flavors, drawing upon our country's rich history as an historical crossroads for explorers and traders from around the globe. At LaZat our goal is to bring Malaysian cooking to the world by sharing with you our family recipes, which we have savored and perfected over generations.

Our second visit to Lazat and we enjoyed the market shopping tour to buy the fresh ingredients and the interactive cooking as much as we did the first time. Great job done by Anna and her crew. Hope to do this again when we are Kuala Lumpur next.

The market tour was a nice touch to understand the wealth of ingredients available in Malay cooking and where they come from. The lesson was very hands on with a great pair of teachers leading the class. The food cooked was vast and very delicious!

I ask for a free place at the cooking class of LaZaT and Ana just offered me to come the next day to join a group. Although I am not vegetarian we cooked very delicious traditional vegetarian malay dishes. I really enjoyed the day. While talking to Ana she told me she also likes to hike so her next free... More

Was incredible. We learn so much and the people working up there are so nice, especially Ana and Laty. I would recommend everyone to do it.

Return customer and just as good as last time. Lati is the best instructor. She explained things clearly and thoroughly. She's got some pretty good stories. Will return for sure. Nice to hang out with people who love food as much as you do.

Very well organised. Efficient. Lovely ambience and setting. Ana and Layta and their staff are great. The recipes were manageable by any level of skill and the price was very reasonable. Hotel pick up and delivery made the whole exercise seamless and very enjoyable. Highly recommend it. This was the fifth cooking class I have done in Asia and this... More

After an educational market tour, we were transported to the cooking school which was located in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of the city. Each student had their own, well-equipped station and the menu included excellent selections, representative of the particular style for that day. Saddiah was a great teacher, and Ana, the owner, is passionate about the cuisine... More

Loved this experience! great early morning market tour before travelling to the cookery school. Saddiah and team really looked after us while we created very tasty food, and got to know the rest of the group. You're well looked after and it's great fun - don't miss out.

It was very nice to visit the cooking class. We started with visiting the market. After that we drove to the cooking studio & cooked together the original Malay-food. The personal was very nice and organization was professional. For people who are interested in cooking, it is a must, if you travel to KL. I will do it again!

Five classes done so far. Look forward to taking the last two courses. Starting of with the TDDI market tour (which is definitely worth to be part of once, but the other times you can skip it and do your own shopping :-)), warm welcome at the beautiful location (it doesn't feel like being in a big city like KL),...
