I had Sarah bring me through the class and it was her first time hosting it herself. She was fantastic and I had a lot of fun. Before I came to class I was a little worried I wouldn't be artistic enough, but you get to practice a few times before the final one. And I finished and I'm quite happy with the journal cover I created!

I'm a tourist in Malaysia and found this to be a great local artistic experience to try.

I had a fun experience with Athirah and the others during the Batik DIY Painting workshop (RIUH 4 Rakyat campaign). Athirah was supportive and kind in teaching us about colour mixing and other Batik painting tips. Plus, it's a bonus to chat and decompress over a therapeutic activity :)

My wife and kids enjoyed our workshop session today. Batik Artist was very helpful. My kids even left the workshop with a new set of Batik Painting Kit with our discount ! Love the traditional Malaysian refreshments that they served as well!

I joined a Shibori Technique workshop, and made a silk scarf. It was splendid!! I made 5 samples with 5 different techniques. And then I made the final work, using one of them. The work was quite artistic and creative. Nana, a teacher, is very friendly and supportive. I really had fun. I want to come back.

My MIL and I did the Batik workshop where we made silk scarves. It was such a fun and wonderful experience. Tyra, Manpreet and Alya were great instructors and made the workshop easy to understand and follow.

We loved learning the art of Batik artistry!!

I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to do this workshop. Not only is it great fun (even for non-artsy types like me), but you leave with a gorgeous handmade treasure.

This was part of the package visit to Batu caves. Since we visited the workshop on New Year's day, most of the workers were on leave except for one worker who showed us how the printing is done on fabric. The adjacent shop selling the finished goods had a variety of batik fabrics, scarves, staples on sales. Seemed overpriced. The sales staff were not pushy. A nice place to visit on a working day to get to.know how to do it yourself.

Hello, Thank you for trying to help with a review. I think you have the wrong boutique you are trying to review however. We are not connected to any tours with Batu Caves, and we were closed as a company on New Year's Day. Could we kindly request that you remove this review as well as it is not for our boutique or workshop. Many thanks!

We went as a part of small group of tourists. The driver cum guide tried to get us someone to show around but no one was available. We spent a few minutes in the work shop after which we came out to the sale section. Here too there was no one seriously showing various materials to us. Overall this was a very disappointing trip.

Brilliant batik workshop by Tyra and Nana. A very warm and welcoming place. I loved learning about the different ways to do batik, then trying them out. I chose to do freehand, but some of my friends preferred to use the printing method. My friends and I had a great time making our pouch. I would highly recommend!

We had a delightful experience getting to make our own batik pieces, that will soon be made into covers for our very own customized journals. Nana was great at explaining the steps to us, and gave us encouragement along the way. We got to explore our creativity and get a hands on experience in our batik journey. I highly recommend visiting this workshop, and look for Nana if you do! :)
