This is an amazing and must visit place in Osaka. There are all kinds of shops and restaurants there...you have to visit it to see the colourful, imaginative and brightly decorated shops and feel the vibrancy of the crowd. Visit both during the day as well as night to have a different perspective. There are street food as well as... More

Great for not only seen the sights, but also just seeing the people. If you like to people watch, you have to check out this small restaurant, shopping, and bar district. It is definitely full of tourists, so if you are looking for more of a local flavor, don't plan on spending too much time here, but it is something... More

If you're in Osaka you'll no doubt spend some time here - it's a massive area and was busy every time we visited but it had a nice buzz to it especially with all the neon lights. There are multiple street food stalls and restaurants along with clothing stores so you can easily spend a few hours wandering. Along the... More

A place where many tourists go for a look. But do not leave without a photo of yourself and the glico signboard. The signboard is a must-to-take-photo with. The area is crowded at most time.

It's the heart of Osaka for tourists I would say that attracts tons of locals too It's mainly just shops, food stalls and tons of people around. I would avoid the weekend evenings though and instead visit the area on a regular weekday evening...you will understand why when you're there :)

Although it was a rainy evening when we visited, the area was quite lively with many people walking about. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Dotonburi is within walking distance of the Namba Walk and the Shinsaibashi Shopping Street.
