It’s definitely a great place to go if you want some good views of Osaka. Definitely worth the price of admission. Going during the day is great, but go in the evening for dope night views!

Great vistas of Osaka

Fantastic views are to be had from the top of the Umeda sky building. Unlike many other observatories, you can enjoy the views from indoors and outdoors. Great fun trying to pick out landmarks like the castle and where the airport is. Nice cafe as well. Would also be stunning after dark.

We used Osaka Amazing Pass for this. Entrance fee is 700 yen for child above 4 yo (who do not have OAP). It is located at Umeda Sky building, which is quite far to walk from Umeda Station. Excellent view at night. Very recommended!

Superb views all around Osaka

This is part of the Umeda sky building and well worth the entrance fee for the superb views both from the inside observation floor and the outdoor rooftop observation deck. Getting to these is an experience in itself, with the outdoor lift followed by the amazing futuristic escalators going across the space between the two halves of the building! ON a clear day, as we had, you really can see a very long way indeed - makes you realise just how huge Osaka is!

One of the best unobstructed deck viewpoints

In addition to local residents, travelers also want to see views of the city from the rooftop of a high building without obstruction. Kuchu Teien Observatory is one of the best place with a cheap ticket or free of charge by showing Osaka Amazing Pass. Going up with an elevator and sky escalator is very interesting and exciting. The beauty of the city 360 degree view on both sides of skyscrapers in Osaka or Umeda area and open side on the other side of the river and the light colors of the horizon in different colors :- yellow, pink and red impressed me very much.

Came here around 4ish, sun start setting around 4:45pm. You can take lots of photos but so are many others.

We came up here late in the evening so missed sunset but the night time views are incredible. There is a 360 view and you can continue to Skywalk which is outside. It cost 1500yen and worth it.

Great romantic ride

Awesome views of the city. The ride is about 15 mins and you can see all of Osaka. Highly recommend to do it at dusk but the cabins are air conditioned.

Umeda sky building - amazing views at night

We were doubting with the timing since the ticket price is overpriced for visiting twice, but definitely loved the views at night. It’s a very impressive architectural building and almost 360 degrees view of Osaka city. It has a few art structures that are fun to see. Definitely would visit again on my next trip

It is not free, but ticketing happens after you go up the building. There are four floors (including the roof garden) that are accessible after you go up the building (before paying), but the top two cannot be seen without the admission ticket. If you really want to have a look but you don't want to pay, I suggest that you can go up and look through windows (they are not the best because it shows the middle of the building and very little of Osaka's view) because there are restaurants and gift shop that is accessible to everyone. I do suggest you go up after paying though. It is beautiful to see it from the very top.

Meu JRPass é "ordinary" ou seja nem green nem east. Eu nem sabia que havia esta classificação. Foi comprado em São Paulo e com duração de 21 dias.
Consigo me lembrar de um castelo em que também paguei só 50% do valor. De qualquer forma, não achei o preço dos ingresso exagerado. Confesso que é um dinheiro que sempre gasto com muito prazer. O Japão é maravilhoso e espero t~e-la ajudado. Se precisar de qualquer coisa, não hesite em me pedir. Terei muito prazer. Faça uma excelente viagem e seja muito feliz em todos os momentos. Um grande abraço

Hi. How many kilometers is the 3 hour tour? How about the 6 hour tour? I ask because the most I have gone biking is 20 kms in 2 hours. And my wife only half of that.
Also can I bike in walking clothes? I don't want to pack cycling outfits.
