a very famous shopping area

this is one of our most frequent spot that we visit. lots of things you can find here, there are many takoyaki and okonomiyaki stalls around, side by side even head to head..

One of the liveliest neighbourhoods in Osaka and worth a wander round. There are soooooo many shops, you will be spoilt for choice.

Cool place to shop, lots of stuff. Many stores around, also electronic stores. Quiet a good place for foods too, many restaurants around. Plus its close to the subway.

Osaka is one big shopping district with many shopping areas. This area has many shopping alleys all well as the Bic Camera which is a huge building with all electronic items. You can spend all day in just this one building. Close station is Namba station. Just opposite Dotonbori Street and Shinsaibashi

There is a lot of shoppings and department stores near the Osaka station but I liked much more the stores in Namba. You can find tax free stores and a great variety of things to buy and places to try the food.

It is worth seeing the lights, the visual overload and do some shopping too! the nearby street with a multitude of restaurants is also really good fun (the facades have interesting themed giant "sculptures" made of fibre glass (I think); check out the giant moving crab above the shop front of a restaurant that serves... crab! It is fun.

Electric energy that drives you to eat, shop, take more photos and walk more. Nice way to spend the evening entertained. On a lovely weather, you will find yourself walking for hours exploring side streets and eating street food.

People people people. The crowds can be a bit much but I had a good time photographing the lights and store fronts. The canal area can be picturesque at night when all the lights are on and the restaurants are teeming, so that's probably a best time to visit. Expect to wait in line for some of the more popular... Lots of shops, good prices. A bit disorganized compared to Tokyo but great fun. It's very crowded but not in an annoying way. Lots of places to eat, drink and shop.
