This aquarium is amazing. It was massive and had everything. Certain areas were very busy but with thie multiple levels it allowed you to view things multiple times. Worth going

The aquarium is a very good attraction not only to kids but to all sea life lovers. The water animals are kept in big tanks, seem quite comfortable in their environment. Plenty of species, nice descriptions. As we visited it during summer vacation period, it was crowded with small kids. Definitely worth spending few hours. Afterwards you can rest in... More

Fantastic Aquarium the best I have been to so far. Amazing diversity of marine life on display and Tanks are kept super clean and clear! I can spend a whole day sitting here just looking at the beautiful fish and mammals.

Aside from all the noisy children it was a fun sea world adventure! Up close and personal! Not the easiest place to get to but worth the trip

We decided to go the aquarium instead after reading of the long lines in Universal Studios japan. A helpful lady at the Namba station advised us to purchase a Kansai pass which would basically give you free subway fare to the Aquarium. This can be bought at the Tourist office inside the maze of the Namba station. The Kaiyukan is... More

We went on a weekday (Monday) and while the aquarium is great and unlike many that I've seen (i.e. they have a large central tank for the whale sharks and may other amazing and large fish), it was overcrowded with school children and other tourists. Worth the visit, but would be better if they managed their visitor flow a little... More

The Osaka Aquarium is a good place to visit on a rainy day, but only on a weekday, since it tends to get crowded very quickly. We visited on a Monday around 15:00. The exhibits were nice in that there are several species of fish and other marine wildlife on display to the public, but we found some of the... More

There are quite a wide variety of sea animals to see here and can get tiring. We went around 5pm so the crowds had mostly gone. We were very surprised at the end we could touch the mantra rays and sharks with our bare hands, which itself was a great experience.

Walk down from the top of the aquarium where dolphins and sea lions are fed entertaining a large crowd (when we visited). Further down there are massive tanks with an amazing variety of fish. And also more exotic creatures - loved the jelly fish. Some novelty attractions for youngsters ref Nemo/Dory. Good for 2-3 hours, can be tiring. Close by... More
