Probably the largest I've been to. After walking around, we realised it was a few tanks but we were looking at the fishes, sharks from (a) above the tank, (b) from middle of the tank; (c) Bottom of tank. So same fishes or sharks or seals. But the place is huge.

Visited Osaka aquarium in May 2016. This is my second favourite aquarium. The best was Sydney's aquarium in Darling Harbour. However, in Osaka, there are 2 whale sharks which are very rare to see in captivity. The aquarium has many exhibits with mammals and sea life. Enjoyed seeing the different dolphin species, whale sharks, penguins, sharks, otters, and even a... More

Was very impressed particularly with the interactive area at the end. Excellent activity for children. Be sure to bring a book so they can collect the stamps.

There are reasons why this aquarium has a world renowned profile, it's a very impressive place. We visited on a weekday morning in December and it wasn't very busy - bought a combined ferry/admission ticket from our hotel which was located across the harbour at the universal studios precinct. Highlight was of course seeing the whale sharks in the main... More

Towards the end of the walk through. They have an open tank area where you can touch/graze certain sting rays/sharks. I had never touched one before, so this was particularly exciting for me

Large Whale Shark, Dolphin, Penguin, Touching Pond, etc Lots of variety sea animals, we were lucky to visit when its time to feeding time, are animals are interactive and we watch all of them behind thick acrylic glass, not like Nagoya Aquarium that has dolphin and whale show. The location it self adjancent to a shopping mall where there are... More

I can be dubious with large animals/sea life in captivity, but my reservations were quashed once I'd visited, it was a really nice aquarium, well laid out with a lot of different animals and sea life to sea. Particularly loved the seals on the way out who were just bobbing in the pool and relaxing in the sun. One animal... More

I struggle ethically with larger animals in captivity but I had to see this for myself. The design of this aquarium is really well thought out and the tanks are very deep. Some of the feeding times clash so I suggest you look at the schedule online if you're interested. We bought a Kaiyu subway ticket before going which gave... More

This aquarium is a must see attraction! Good for adults and children, I recommend to go before sunset so you get a spectacular view from the ground floor.

The aquarium has a wide array of sea creatures and an interesting layout...you start from the top level and walk down through the varioud regions..Amazon, Pacific etc. The display is rich and well matained..you can view clearly through the special glass material. There is a section near the exit where you can touch the fishes. Cater about 2 hr for... More
