Although the admission is pricey from my point of view this is a gem of a museum, with a comprehensive coverage of Japanese ceramics and their relationships with Chinese and Korean ceramicists. The Hideyoshi invasions of Korea also involved the wholesale abduction of Korean ceramicists,...More

The entry fee is 1,200 yen (adult) and 700 yen (student) for a very small and poor collection of ceramics. Some of the exhibits are just broken shards and several display cases were empty.

When you are in Osaka you have to visit this place. Besides the ceramics collection found in rather recently discovered wrecks, the other potterie is of high quality.
