About
This is the largest integrated commercial complex in western Japan. Centering around JR Osaka Station, the OSAKA STATION CITY features the fashion building LUCUA Osaka on its northern side, and the department store Daimaru Umeda, Hotel Granvia Osaka and the restaurant zone Umaimono Plaza in its southern section. Here, you can shop for all sorts of souvenirs such as cosmetics and Japanese and Western confectioneries. If you're hungry, there's an enormous variety of Japanese restaurants and international restaurants to choose from. Within OSAKA STATION CITY, there are ten distinct plazas, including ”Toki-no-hiroba Plaza(Time and Space Plaza)” characterized by its giant dome-shaped roof spreading over the station; ”South Gate Plaza,” where you can see the water clock that is Japan's only clock chosen for ”12 of the world's most beautiful clocks” on CNN's website in 2014; and ”Tenku-no-noen Farm (Sky Farm),” an oasis where you can connect with nature in the heart of the city.

This is the place that is bustling with heavy human traffic at any one time of the day in Osaka that visitors will not miss it, especially those taking the various trains and subways to other parts of the city.
Besides serving as a train hub, it is also a shopping cum dinning mall where you can find many departmental stores, supermarkets, convenience stores and boutique shops, besides many restaurants, cafes and even fast food chains located at basement in all directions and sometimes you may "lose" your way. You will be spoiled for choices.
It's a fun place to see people, shop and dine!

Definitely one of the most unforgettable station-experience, EVER! This mega structure is huge! As one of the major train station in Osaka, Osaka Station serve many line, also many train types. The station located in one complex with Shin-Osaka station and Umeda Station. Osaka Station doesn't serve Shinkansen Train. The Sinkansen train serve by Shin-Osaka Station (Shinkansen serve by station with "Shin" in front of the station name). The station definetely serve millions of people, so the crowd is real! Many store and restaurant too in this station, so you won't be disappointed while waiting your train here.

Known as one of the largest in Western Japan, this area consists of number of Shopping Malls containing all the global as well as major japanese brands of various types of products. The sheer size of each mall is simply amazing. Most of the multistoried buildings have a mall in first 10 to 15 floors. We visited this area in our recent trip to the city and explored some of these malls. Osaka station city, Diamor Osaka, Hankyu Umeda to name a few. Basements and ground floors mainly have food and bakery and rest of the floors have products of all types including fashion, apparels, house hold items etc. The vdecor of the malls, the range of priducts, the way they are displyed are something to be experienced Just a point of caution ! The range of products here are quiet pricey and of top end. But even oi you find these places out of your budget, just go mall hopping for a immersive experience, which will be with you for a lifetime.

Most visitors don't even realize the extent of this underground city. It stretches far beyond the borders of the station itself. For example, exit 7-72 is the underground exit for the Ibis Umeda Hotel which is a block from the station. From the hotel go down the elevator to B-1 and you will arrive at a wide corridor lined with shop, even a grocery store. And this is one of the smaller corridors.

Osaka station / department stores, designer stores, novelty shops, food, drinks, you name it, its there.
As well as the shopping there are hotels attached to the station, so everything you need is right at your fingertips. The only issue is being able to find your way around this massive complex if you're not familiar with it. We were lost for about an hour until a friendly local came to our rescue. This was greatly appreciated and we were back on track in no time.

I believe many people will visit this station. Other than the usual reviews you get such as very busy with lots of shops. I’d like to add that there are also plenty of lockers to use. They range from ¥400-800 subject to the size you want. However, you need to find where there are available tho.

In fact, it is the central train and metro station. It is an incredibly crowded place. There are shopping malls and restaurants on the upper floors, approximately 10 floors long.
It is a place where you can spend time all day. There are many alternatives, especially when it comes to shopping. You can catch all the metro transfers and especially the shuttles for Kansai Airport from here.

A large variety of goods are off we Ed by retailers in this huge collection of retailers. I visited 3Coin+plus, Lululemon, and a couple of bakeries for evening snacks. There are also a large number of eateries ranging from fast food to higher end dining.

A great place to wander around, whether or not you're catching a train (I was!).
Many great views of Osaka city, particularly at night. A photographer's delight. Possibly the longest escalators in the world!
One of the best railway stations I have ever visited. Five star for train enthusiasts!

We started our guided tour of the city by visiting this station decorated nicely for Christmas. Lights on everywhere. Glass and concrete. Maze leading to the shopping mall enclosed in the building. Very nice from an architectural standpoint.

Eu tinha feito a pergunta errada! O que eu quero saber é se a Osaka Station é longe de Chuo-ku.8
