I went in the late afternoon and were delighted with the amount of fresh seafood. I find the price reasonable and ate on quite a number of stalls and food. You would need to try the seafood, fresh and delicious. I tried the prawn, crabs, and scallops. Superb and definitely recommend you to visit the place.

Its a market. The night markets in Taiwan, Thailand, China, etc... have more to offer. Ironically, most of the customers during my visit were Chinese.

There are many types of food on sale here but it seems BBQ / sashimi seafood is the favorite here. Most of the seafood seems fresh, and when in doubt, just buy from the longest queue. Things to try oysters, sea urchin and king prawn. The price is definitely lower than where I come from, and more fresh. I was... More

We visited in the morning and it's a popular spot! There are loads of amazing food stalls to wander through and great things to try so go when you're hungry and enjoy! Plenty of sushi/sashimi, takoyaki stalls, fruit/veg and many more.

The food here is highly overpriced. For example, you can find oysters being sold raw for ¥850, whereas in Nishiki market you can find 10 oysters for ¥600 raw as well. It would be a much wiser choice to take the JR to Kyoto to eat at Nishiki market instead. If you do decide to come here, you can try... More

This was the fifth time we visited the market over the last 15 years. Gradually we found the market was gearing toward tourist business. Most of the seafood stores opened space for eating in as well as buying ready to eat packages of sushi, sashimi, Oden and even cooked in front of you Japanese Wagyu beef.

Many good food around. Tried the infamous okonomiyai and ordered dine-in. Kobe beef will be our next stop and the seafood crab certainly worth the return as very near our apartment.

Nearest subway is Nipponbashi, Exit 10, Turn left and keep left and you will arrived at the market, very easily accessible. We went on a Saturday morning and place was crowded. We re-visited on Monday afternoon again and place was less crowded. Recommended to go on a weekday. Lots of food to eat, and nice authentic shops around. There's a... More

Though we still see locals visiting the market, I think 80% of the customers are tourists. There are many local food to try, be it sashimi, Kobe beef, fresh fruits, I believe there is something for everyone. Worth a visit.

The food here is very fresh and they provide a lot of variety from seafood, beefs, sashimi to fruits. Price is reasonable.
