A very pleasant and scenic one hour cruise along the Okawa River on the Aqua-Liner "Water Bus" with views of interesting places, such as Osaka Castle (although distant). Much longer time on the river than the Osaka Duck/Amphibious Bus tour.

Booked onto this trip as had the Osaka Amazing Pass and received discounted tickets. Was very disappointed by the tour as we didn't seem to see anything but hotels and restaurants along the way! Although the boat was comfortable and offered refreshments which was great, it felt like a waste of time and no sightseeing. The bus just seemed to... More

I have been on the aqua liner twice and both times enjoyed the trip (Very clean). Anytime of the year is good. For example, I went in June and was so relieved to sit down on the comfortable seat and enjoy cold air conditioning. I agree that cherry blossom timing would also be great. It is best to do the... Pleasant view of area surrounding Castle. This ride is included in the city underground pass. Suggest getting 2 days pass, if you have the time to explore Osaka.

Advertised as a river cruise to see the city with English commentary. Not worth a single yen! The boat goes around a very small distance of waterway with constant Japanese commentary then interjects for about 4 minutes total in English - of which half is explaining the features of the boat and not what you are seeing. Leant nothing about... More

We looked foreward to this boat-trip. It was the last thing we were supposed to do together before we go back home the day after. We arrived in last minute before departure, but enough to reach the boat. However we was totally ignored by the young lady in duty at the ticket office. She prefered to look at other directions... Taking a boat through the Osaka rivers seemed like a good idea. And overall it is not too bad. But there are two factors which might let you skip this ride. First, the boats are extremely low and therefor your sightlines are quite poor, so forget seeing much more than water and the underparts of buildings. Second the air conditioning... More

Boring, boring, boring ! Did a supposed 1 hour cruise through the waterways of Osaka. The English tannoyed audio was difficult to hear given the loud air conditioner on board and as for sights to see, there was one grey building after another grey building....... Don't waste your time !
