Formally the home of the wife of 16th-century Japanese ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the 15-acre Nishinomaru Garden is one of Osaka's most beloved cherry blossom viewing spots, with the Osaka Castle Tower enhancing the backdrop.

Admire the stone masonry as you walk towards its main entrance. The shear size of granite stones are just inspiring. The exhibits are very well curated. The top floor offers great view of the city.

Don't get me wrong, it was a very good experience all throughout - the castle and its grounds were absolutely breathtaking in scale and detail - but the actual museum itself was little out of the ordinary (even less is you don't understand the language...More

I loved the view of the castle from this park, it is picture perfect and so much easier than walking all the way to the actual castle. If you want a nice picture of the castle you have to take it from here! It is...More

Great place to spend a cool winter morning / afternoon. The serenity (except for the noise from tourists) and the sights are lovely with the majestic castle looming in the distance. Highly recommended to take a walk through the park on the way to the...More

We had some time to kill between lunch and dinner and added a two hour excursion to the castle to our day. That meant 30 minutes to get there, a full hour to explore the castle and another 30 minutes to get back to the...More

You can use trains (rail or subway), but the closest one is by city bus. The bus stop is more closer to the main entrance area then train station. You can stop at Banbacho bus stop.
