Outstanding walking tour that was insightful and entertaining - a thorough introduction to the city of Osaka. Our exceptional tour guide, Masa walked us from Dotonbori to Shinkensai, with numerous stops during our 2.5 hour journey that were peppered with cultural, historical and religious explanations and anecdotes of the city. Masa's natural storytelling and encouragement of questions made this experience incredibly educational and enjoyable for everybody on the tour. Furthermore we never felt rushed or that there was any question we could not ask. He gave us an insight into the ways that Japanese culture differed from each of our own and offered interesting explanations. He provided plenty of advice for other attractions and places to visit, as well as where to try the best food. Highly recommend!!

We started the tour at 12:30pm sharp at the meeting place - Namba Metro exit 15B. If you are not familiar with Osaka, make sure you set aside some time as Namba station is quite a sprawl and can be quite confusing as it has many many exits.

Our guide, Masa, shared many great historical facts about Osaka and kept it interesting for the 2.5 hours.

We enjoyed the tour very much and glad that we signed up for it.

It was a cold day but Masa-san made our 2.5 hour walking tour go by so quickly. There are walking tours that just bring you to landmarks. And then there’s walking tours that immerse you in a city’s culture and history. Masa’s tour was a cut above many other tours, tying history, culture, and present day happenings. Masa’s experience and insights were very enjoyable to listen to and we learned a great deal (took notes!). Thank you Masa san

I and my family took Masaaki’s tour in Osaka and had an amazing time. He is the best tour guide so far. He is a master storyteller and also helps to sample the culture of the city quickly and with humour.
Appreciate your great work Masaaki, and Ohkini! 🙏

I can’t say enough positive things about Masa and his walking tour. I wish I would have gotten together with him the first day we entered Japan as he gives so much foundational information about the culture and ties so much of it in to the places he takes you. Phenomenal event, the best tour I’ve ever had. He spent 25 years in America and really knows how to be conversational! An absolute must do for anyone coming to Osaka. It is a free walking tour so give him a nice tip at the end as well!

Masa has a genuine passion for sharing Osaka with his guests. He is a tour guide pro with handy pictures already created to make sure his guests get the most out of the tour. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to gain deeper insight into Osaka while making a friend along the way.

I had already taken his walking route with my Osakan girlfriend, but he filled in the missing pieces she 'forgot' to mention.
Japan born but having lived in Miami for many many years he understands the western view on the 'odd quirks' of his home country and gives great insides and a good understanding so we get to love and appreciate Japan even more.
I would highly recommend joining this tour.

We went on the Osaka free walking tour earlier today and absolutely loved it. Our tour guide, Masa, was a great guy and gave us heaps of information about Osaka's history, the local culture and all the best places to eat. I especially liked the fact that he gave us time to roam through the food market in the middle of the tour, so we could buy and try some of the delicious things on offer there. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Osaka

Masa was the best guide I ever had in a Free Walking Tour! Very nice and funny, but also knowledgeable about Japan and Osaka. He also gave us great tips for eating in the city and even taught us some valuable japanese words/sentences. I totally recommend this tour to anyone visiting Osaka!
