Wow is all I can say!
I was a little worried about driving a go cart only 6 inches from the ground in to the traffic of a busy Japanese town, BUT it was so much fun
The guys in charge made sure we were safe at every intersection and gave a funny but informative safety talk before we left.
So dressed in our costumes (which are free to use) we all got into our carts and hit the road(s)
Well to say we were celebrities is an understatement. At every road stop & even while we were driving people were waving and taking pictures.
Sometimes we needed to remember we were on a busy road as we were all to busy waving back. :)
We saw lots of the city of Osaka we may have missed due to the drivers knowledge.
We even drove through Dotonbori and that was heaps of fun.
The weather was cold and the wind had a chill factor that would keep an Eskimo happy, but our smiles were still on our faces when we finished and got back to base and out of our costumes.
You do need to have either a Japanese driving licence or an international licence, but in Australia that is just $39 at RACQ and it is for a year, so we can always go back and do this in other countries or other parts of Japan as I think there is 3 locations now in Japan.
The building is not easy to find, but if you are walking from the Nodahanshin train station just keep walking down the Hokko Dori road till you pass the petrol station and it is about another 25 meters.
It is about a 20 min walk not 10 like the web site states.
We were a little late as we could not find it and kept thinking we had gone to far.
