Really well preserved with detailed decorations in place. Tour is available in Japanese language. Not sure about English tour. A minimal fee is required to visit it. Enjoy the garden while the house takes you back in time to its peak. A must-visit in Matsushiro.

Interesting to see how the gentry lived, connect this visit with the military school and the castle as well as the 'treasure' museum, really neat little package and all within walking minutes of each other
