We had a rainy day in Kyoto and spend a few hours in cafe meeple. If you like to play board games this is a perfect spot to spend a few hours. Most games are in English so easy to play. They charge money for spending time there. I didn’t figure out how much exactly. We spend there a few hours, had two beers and a coffee each and payed 3600 yen.

We noticed this cafe as we passed through the market area of Kyoto one morning and decided to stop back tonight to check it out. There is a huge selection of board games, familiar and niche, and drinks and smoothies available as well. The guy working there was absolutely lovely and so helpful. He took the time to recommend us a few new games based on what we like and translated the rules from Japanese as well. We really enjoyed both of them. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours.
