京都市内にありながら、里山の美しいところです。山間にゆるやかな棚田が広がり、京都ならではの立派な古民家があちこちに点在し、京都中心部の喧騒とはかけ離れた別の雅やかな時間を過ごせると思います。棚田の光景を満喫するには、集落南の山に眺望＆撮影ポイントがあり、そこからが最高だと思います。ちょっと山歩きになりますが。田植えの時期だけでなく、夏の稲穂の青々とした頃、実りの頃と、色々と楽しめます。
