Fujinomori Shrine is famous for its horse race, which takes place on May the 5th. The spring water "Fujino Mizu" is refreshing.

We stopped off here on the way back to Kyoto from the Mimurotoji Temple with its marvellous hydrangea garden, but were very disappointed with the garden at this shrine.
