The state of euphoria associated with the accomplishment of a hike up a hill or a mountain in a foreign city spiced up my exploration of this city. You gained a better insight of what the city offers and the lovely memory left an indelible...More

For a view like that, you'd think the hike should be harder, but it's not! 45 minutes and done. We loved this hike. We got step-by-step instructions from insidekyoto and went at 7:30am. It was tucked away behind the Silver Pavillion and was absolutely gorgeous...More

Pretty easy walk, last part with the stairs is the hardest but still achievable if you are a regular exerciser. Great view and great way to finish a day of sight seeing.

Took about 50 mins going up as I wasn't very fit. Views from the top were well worth the 'pain'! Highly recommend to those who are not keen on the commercialized stuff. One of the highlights of my Kyoto visit!
