A very popular among locals small temple in a few steps from Emperor Palace. Its dedicated to the boars because they have saved a badly wounded samurai bringing him for many killometres to this temple where his legs and feet injuries were successfully treated. So its all about podiatry;) Its has hundreds of boars as a sculptures, figures and ornaments.... More

The GOO shrine is right beside the hotel Garden Palace and one can see the monuments even later in the evening. The central target is the boar, where the story is, in the 7th century, a japanese count tried to save the emporers line and hundreds of boars helped him on the way. His leg was hurt too and he... More
