About
Enjoy making ramen completely from scratch in the most exciting and easiest way in Ramen Factory Kyoto. We are the first and only restaurant in Japan that customers can experience cooking their own Ramen bowl including noodle-making, chicken-rolling, soup-mixing and topping-savoring. Address
Neighborhood: Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.

Amazing
Apr 2019
The staff was very nice and was very prepared. They had explanatory sheets with every step. They even had prepared one in Spanish because they knew some of us were from Spain. The experience was amazing as we could do the noodles by ourselves. I totally recommend it!

This has got to be my favourite activity in Japan. Loved it so much. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It is also Muslim-friendly - use only halal ingredients. and have a prayer room on-site. Thank you so much for the experience!

Fun experience!
Mar 2020
This was such a fun experience for me, my husband, and my son, who is 14! From the beginning of the instruction to the end, Nori made it fun. It was extremely entertaining watching my son make something and appreciating the work that goes into making food, and having fun while learning in this experience. Nori took lots of pictures of our family as we were making the ramen. We totally personalized our own ramen to our likings. In the end, we walked away with a full belly and a memory to cherish! Thank you Nori for sharing with us your knowledge of making ramen!

Ramen making with Nori was amazing
Mar 2020 • Couples
We decided to do this activity sort of last minute but they had no problem accommodating us. They literally think of every last detail down to selfie-sticks hanging from the ceiling so that you can record yourself making ramen! Our instructor was Nori and she was so much fun, definitely a big reason why we enjoyed ourselves. Besides all of that, the ramen was sooo delicious! We would definitely recommend it take go back!

A lot of fun!

Had a great time there and enjoyed the class along with Alisa’s enthusiasm. Don’t expect to actually make ramen from scratch as the time it would take to make a ramen broth from scratch is not practical. The broth is pre-made but you get to make noodles from scratch which was still a lot of fun for me. Overall it was a great time!

We like Ramen and wanted to learn how this is made. The experience from this event made eating Ramen more enjoyable for us coming from Hawaii. Thanks Chika and family this is worth the visit. Highly recommend this.

I attended this class on March 7, 2020 and at the end was told that if I scanned the QR code I could access the recipe. However when I scan the code it just takes me to the Trip Advisor page. I even checked the Ramen Factory website and can’t find the recipe. Does anyone know where I can find the recipe used in this class?

Is a reservation necessary, or are most people able to participate as a walk-in? I don’t want to pay 17000 yen making a reservation now in case we miss our appointment time (we plan to do Fushimi-inari beforehand and then head over to ramen when we finish).

Does your broth have mono sodium glutamate in it?
Hi Melrose,
Thank you for sending a question to us.
Our broth does NOT have MSG. However, the normal sauces (when you mix with the broth) have MSG.
We also have the NON-MSG sauces; however, please leave a note when you book our course.
Thank you and look forward to seeing you in Ramen Factory Kyoto.
Hi! can I ask if you made the broth by yourself in the ramen factory kyoto? I wonder if t is the kind of "class" where you can make ramen by yourself after?
thanks!
Thank you for tour message.
Yes, we make the broth in ramen factory Kyoto .
But it takes too much time,
so in the class the broth already has been made.
Instead of making broth, we will sent the recipe to you,
then you could do it at your home.
