Neighborhood: City Center
No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and clubs. A trendy culinary scene and an abundance of local watering holes give the Center its youthful vibrancy. In contrast, the quieter areas of the City Center seem a world away, shielded from noise by the foliage of the public gardens and zen spaces surrounding the area's shrines, castles, and the Imperial Palace. These ancient and sacred spots are seamlessly folded into the scenery, providing a respite from the energy of the city, but close enough to put you directly back onto the pulse of the city when you're ready.

Helpful information lounge in Kyoto. I would like to recommend this place to everyone who want to have fun around Kyoto area.

This visitor center is very helpful. I have come by several times either by my self or with friends in order to get great recommendations. Also they have map with recommendation restaurants, so you can find something you want. The kind employee was even able to give recommendations for other places.

Visited this place last week with my friend and asked about izakaya restaurant around GION. I never expected a tourist information office could be this helpful. The lady gave us couple of recommendations just in case restaurant are closed.
For first time travelers to Kyoto, I highly recommend this tourist information office!! Definitely they can help you and you will have best experience here. Thank you!!

I was looking all over for a good ramen restaurant and GURUNAVI helped me find a delicious place to eat. They help you find various restaurants around the city based on your dietary needs and price point. They can even help you make an appointment and show you how to get to the restaurant you selected!
If you can't figure out a place to go and eat, stop in and ask them. The staff is super helpful and like I said, they'll make an appointment for you. Go in the morning, choose a restaurant near your hotel, have them make the appointment for the evening, go out sightseeing, and your appointment will be all ready for you when you return to the hotel in the evening -- SUPER HELPFUL!
It's all for free and the staff speak various languages, so they're able to help you in whatever language you need, through digital communication or staff interaction -- I can't recommend it enough!
No more walking around, not knowing where to eat! Hit up GURUNAVI and have them help you sort through the maze of delicious restaurants Kyoto has to offer!

京都市内の様々なイベント情報、観光情報案内が受けられる観光情報コーナーのすぐ隣にあります。
川床でにぎわっている京都らしいお店も教えてもらいました。
外国の人もちらほら来られていて、浴衣を着て写真撮影とか、楽しそうでした。
祇園や、鴨川など観光スポットにも近く、京都市内のサイクリング案内などもやっているので、京都の「着飾らない観光」を楽しみたい人に最適な案内スポットです。

I also taught shops like Kyoto,KAWADOKO.
