I spent a memorable evening with Emika in her home where she took me through some of the basics of obanzai (Kyoto home-style) cooking. Everything was delicious and easy to follow. I'm really happy I took this class! :)

We spent a few hours with Keiko preparing and eating a simple meal (vege and some lovely mackerel). It was a relaxed introduction to home style Japanese cookery and ingredients - it made a change to visit someone in their home.

Keiko is an amazing host. Her English was excellent so communication was perfect. She was able to teach us more in a single lunch then we were able to learn from from any exhibit. She made our trip everything we wanted it to be.
