This place must have new management, as it has been enhanced vastly with many new kid friendly features. Now there are much more direct interactions with many type of animals. Starting with petting areas for bunny, cats/dogs, capybaras, kangaroos and giant tortoises. New outdoor park is exciting with penguin feeding, camel riding, sheep dog show and opportunity to get up... More

This is not a typical zoo with all types of animals typical of zoos like lions, zebras, giraffe or tigers (and why it is also not called a zoo), however it is a lovely animal park all the same. Most of the animals are not in enclosures such as the birds, the red pandas, lemurs and swans. But don't worry,... More

We used to buy a membership here. They had a big renovation a few years ago and it's even better now. It's great for families, couples and seniors as long as you like animals. My 60s mom loves flowers there too, they are gorgeous!

Visited the Animal Kingdom after the family arrived from Tokyo. Never knew it existed and was suggested by the concierge for children. Parking was ample and location was easy to find and accessible by the monorail. The attraction is basically a zoo with also sections where you can interact with the animals. Great place to spend a couple of hours... More

I had only a little time in Kobe after business meeting with the client, went to Kobe Animal Kingdom in around 01 hour but I satisfied. Many kinds of pretty animals without stink. Some of them are free, not in the cage, every one can touch them. There are not only animals, also there are many kinds of flows decorated... More

Everyone can play, pet, cuddle and feed dozens of types of animals. There's a dogs and cats area immediately on entering, a pond with fish you can touch, birds area, alpacas in an outside area and countless more to see. Most animals are roaming around and not enclosed. Perfect for families and worth a day trip.

I adore animals but most Japanese animal attractions leave me cold due to the awful conditions the animals are kept in. The majority of the animals at Kobe Animal Kingdom are kept very well and seem free from stress HOWEVER I only gave four stars as there are a small amount of animals here that are stressed and kept in... This is the first Zoo I would recommend! Firstly, I should say I'm not that interested in Zoo because I feel sorry for the animals in cage. This is an Animal Park that most of them not in cage & you can touch & hold them! (Certainly that's mean no wide animals like lions & tigers, they are all cute... More
