Nice aquarium

Nice small toen aquarium where you can get really close to the animals (otters, seals, penguins) with a quite good dolphin show. I went there on a week-day and it was quite enough... read more

While in Japan for holiday we went to visit this Aquarium (my wife knows it well because while working as a kindergarden teacher, went there with the kids) and is really beautifull. There are many things that you can see from fishes, pinguins, crabs, shark and for free you can see the Dolphin show. Is an amazing experience. Really suggested... More

I love the dolphin show. This aquarium is connected to studies of a local university so the animals are getting good care unlike some of the other aquariums we have visited in Japan. The last dolphin show of the day is for the new students to train so it is not as fast paced as the other shows during the... More

It's a little out of the way if you don't drive (but I'm sure there are trains and buses easy enough), but it's a great aquarium. The penguin show is great, you get so close to them! So many different kinds of creatures and all different sections to visit. I grew up visiting this place and I enjoyed going back... More

We were there during the week so it wasn't busy at all. Lots of school kids in uniforms. Aquarium itself has a outdated feel (sort of 70's) so this is definitely not one of those new facilities. Nevertheless our kids did enjoy it and that's what it counts in the end. There are several sections of the Aquarium. Food very... More

We were indeed fascinated by the vast collection of marine lives, many of the deep sea creatures which we have never imagine. A must visit if you are in Kobe.

Nice small toen aquarium where you can get really close to the animals (otters, seals, penguins) with a quite good dolphin show. I went there on a week-day and it was quite enough despite hundreds of school kids, very well organized and behaved ! It's an easy 5mn walk South of JR SumaKaihinKoen and the visit can be complemented by... More

I had been there when I was a small kid. I haven't been there for a long time. It is quite easy to access by JR station. It takes 5 mins walk from Suma Kaihin Kouen station. There are so many peaces of fish from all over the world. And also you can see the dolphin show, otter feeding, and... More

The aquarium is 15 minutes walk from Tsukimiyama station and located next to Suma beach. The best attraction is the Dolphin show. Really enjoyed the 40 minute show. The dolphin show is very lively. Rays, Octopus etc. Can also be seen. The amusement park is enjoyable. Overall nice place for weekend.

Not a bad aquarium at all considering it's one of the oldest in Japan. Not as spectacular as the one in Osaka, but Suma Aquarium has a wide variety of sea life on display for the visitors. Their biggest attraction is the dolphin show. It's fun for kids and adults alike. Just be sure to wear a raincoat if you... More
