Brief stop in a local cat cafe
Jul 2017 • Couples
This was our first experience of a cat cafe in Japan - the staff were friendly and the place was tidy. There were two sitting areas and we ended up moving to where more cats were. Inside was quite small and couldn't fit that many seperate groups. Some cats interacted with us and some were sleeping. We only booked in for 30 minutes which I think was long enough to get a taste for it. If you are in the area and love cats - then it may be worth it! We probably wouldn't go again at 600 yen for 30 mins.
Hygiene standards were good and they also had a lint roll for afterwards.

local friendly cat cafe
Apr 2016 • Family
The staff were very friendly and made us feel like important visitors. The cats were relaxed and interacted with us. They were well cared for and came from a variety of breeds. It felt more like a cosy neighbourhood cat cafe than a tourist destination.

Purrrrfect Morning Stop
I have been here twice, once in October on a holiday and once this January. Both times I have loved the experience, but be forewarned it can be hit and miss with how active the cats are. In Oct. the cats seemed more reserved and shy, but currently there are a bundle of playful, exuberant kittens who were a delight the entire time we were there. One hour is ¥1200 and comes with a drink. They also offer food, but the cats have free reign on the counters and tables, even in the back, so it's your choice. Opens at 11 and I recommend getting there at opening or within the first 2 hours, which gives you a better chance of spending your time with playful cats. Customers are usually couples, but rarely kids are in the store. They prefer no toddlers, but a great place to bring a calm, understanding child.
