Our first ever baseball game
Sep 2019 • Couples
We saw an advert for the game and managed to get unreserved tickets for the game between the Carps and Chunichi Dragons.

It's was a great experience to be in Japanese sporting culture and feel the buzz around the stadium.

The stadium has large concourses and is easy to navigate even for those with very little Japanese language skills.

The seats are great views although not covered so when it rained in about the 4th innings we got a bit damp.

So glad we decided to go and really enjoyed it.

Just amazing!
Aug 2019
We are Brits, unfamiliar with baseball but just love to see live sport. We caught a bus to the stadium from central Hiroshima and then followed the crowds inside. A true family event for all ages, a huge range of food and drink, beer served at your seat and an amazing atmosphere even though Hiroshima lost the game we saw. Go if you can! (Buy thundersticks and red balloons at the merch stand at the stadium so you can join in with the fun).

Amazing night of baseball! Super fun!!
Jul 2019 • Couples
We enjoyed everything about our visit to the stadium. The local team, Hiroshima Carp, were playing the Tokyo Swallows. The actual baseball was very good, but for us secondary to everything going on around us. The Japanese people are generally reserved in public, but at the stadium they let loose! There was singing and chanting and noise makers banging all night. Nothing was over the top; all was in good fun. They have a really cool seventh inning stretch routine which you need to experience. The whole thing was a blast!

If you have a chance to see a game here go for it! Tickets are very hard to get, at least for resrved seats, so try to get them in advance. We used the online ticket service Viagogo and got great seats for not too much money.

Amazing to watch the crowd as well as the baseball. Get tickets in advance.

Managed to get tickets and saw Hiroshima Toyo Carps vs Yokohama DeNA Baystars at this excellent stadium, glad we did. Had a wonderful time sitting amongst Toya Carps supporters who all chant and bang small baseball bats together in unison when they know that they can.
Amazing to watch the crowd as well as the baseball and the walk into and out of the stadium with the crowd was fantastic, no loud, shirtless shouts and bawls here!
We had skyseat tickets just behind the base, excellent view and nearly caught a baseball! If you manage to get a skyseat at a game in the day make sure you wear sun protection as there is no shade, take a seat mat if you can as the seats were scorching!
Venue was very clean (everyone takes their rubbish away with them), their are ample toilets so no queuing and a choice of takeaways on site. Girls with beer/water/soft drink barrels parade up and down the seating areas throughout the game so you can purchase drinks from them.
Advise buying a Carp fan and red balloons to take to a game, you can purchase from stores around the bus station but allow time as these were full of supporters purchasing merchandise. The red balloons are blown up and released, just blow them up when everyone else starts doing so and get you camera ready as they are all released at the same time making a stunning scene/photo shot.
Finally If you are staying in Hiroshima and there is a game on you must go here but make sure you get tickets in advance of your visit as they sell out fast.

The most beautiful baseball stadium in Japan
Aug 2018 • Couples
Good location in 5-minute walk from JR Hiroshima station and easy to find. Although it's been hard to get tickets for these couple of years except for the auction, it is worth visiting. Fans are so enthusiastic and their love and support for the team is so impressive. Even if you are not the Carp fan, you are sure to enjoy the baseball game and the atmosphere. Food sold at stalls are fine and reasonable, probably the best in Japanese stadiums with cheaper prices compared to the other ones in Tokyo, Osaka and Hyogo. As a baseball fan, I can proudly say this is the best stadium in Japan.

A modern baseball stadium with enthusiastic fans
Jun 2018
I didn't get a chance to watch the game since it was sold out more than a month ago. I did get to see the outside of the stadium and the enthusiastic fans who were all dressed in red. It was about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the Hiroshima station and you get to watch all the fans and try different food and beer. Overall, I recommend to visit the stadium on a game day if you're a baseball fan or like to watch people.

Excellent day at the Ballpark
Jun 2018 • Family
We got GA seats behind the plate. You must get there when gates open to get your seats - a couple of hours before the game starts. Food options were limited but you can ring your own in to the game if you want. The Carp fans are truely fanatical and make for a great night. Make sure you buy your red Carp balloons for the 7th I. I have stretch.

Brilliant day out!
Mar 2018 • Couples
If you happen to be in Japan during the baseball season try and catch a game. We supported the Hiroshima Carps for the day and had a great time. Neither of us had been to baseball before but we picked up on the rules pretty quickly. The Carp fans are an enthusiastic bunch and have some great choreography and songs.

The stadium itself is easy to find and has loads of food and merch options. We sat in the ground level unreserved seating which was great but we could also see table seating and some cushion areas that looked pretty good too.

A really fun day out.
