My friend and I were recommended this bike tour by our accommodation and we're glad to have stumbled across it.
We met our two guides at a bike rental store not far from Hiroshima station. We were warmly welcomed and enthusiastically greeted. After a briefing, we picked up our electrically assisted bikes which was a new experience for us. One of us had not been on a bike in many years however this didn't matter at all as the electric assist really helped and made it feel effortless. The guides also matched our pace and made sure we were having a good time.
The tour was tailored to our interests, and they confirmed our route on a map before we started. We wanted to learn more about Hiroshima and its history so they not only took us to the Peace Park, but also significant monuments and buildings of relevance spread out in the wider city that tourists may not necessarily be aware of or plan to visit as they may not be easy to get to without bikes. It was great to be able to see more of Hiroshima by bike and not having to worry where to go, just following the guides and enjoying the experience was a delight.
We paid an extra 1,500 Yen to incorporate an okonomiyaki cooking experience, which we then ate for lunch. It was a lot of fun! The cook assisted us every step of the way and was very friendly. We had a good chat with everyone after lunch, and we're not sure if this is part of the experience we paid for, but afterwards, his wife offered to teach us how to make paper cranes origami.
As part of the tour, we could have continued to use the bikes ourselves for the remainder of the day, which we wish we had known sooner so we could have planned for it, however we had other plans that afternoon.
Overall we had a positive experience and would recommend this to others.
