When visiting this place you may find yourself shedding a tear. Be it for the victims and children who were put into labour to rebuild/contribute their labour's to restoring the city or just the realisation that in war there is no winners, only sadness.

It's amazing how these beautiful parks in Japan are locate in the middle of cities. We were walking down a busy street and there it was! We walked into this beautiful park with such a historical site. Most of the signs were in English and quite educational also. Origami cranes at the children's memorial were amazing too. My teenagers were... More

The Peace Memorial Park is quite large and is the actual spot where the A-Bomb was dropped. There is a museum, currently under renovation, so we did not see this. There is the Children's Peace Monument, the Atomic Bomb Dome and the beautiful and large Cenotaph for the A-Bomb victims. This is a must see stop on everyone's visit to... More

One of the more interesting aspects of the Park is the alignment of the Flame of Peace, Pond, Cenotaph, walk, Museum and Fountain of Prayer. In Spring it's lovely and tranquil especially within the framework of beautiful blooming Cherry trees. Plan on spending a couple of hours to explore the Museums and various Monuments.

The design of the park brings together the museum and the atomic dome very well with an eternal flame. It's a restful and contemplative place.

Very nice for a peaceful stroll reflecting on whatever. The park and its monuments put a lot of things in to perspective. Take a walk, think about stuff, ring the bell of peace.

This a very lovely park and does justice to the people killed and the family members still living in Hiroshima. We visited while the cherry blossoms were out it was very lovely. Definitely worth a walk or two to see the sights.

After taking in the A bomb dome and the museum it was a relief to wander through this pleasing park with its selection of remembrance memorials and sculptures, water features and fountains.

The beautiful environs of the park may serve to please the eyes at first glance, but that does not mask the true horrors of its past. A lone dilapidated dome from 1945 still exists to show how a bomb that feel hundreds of meters away shredded concrete. One can only imagine what would have been the state of humans, a... More

In the park are almost all of the memorial places commemorating the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945. It is a place of beauty that rose from the ashes of that horrible event. You can visit several places like the children's monument, the cenotaph and the eternal flame. The peace museum is also located in the park.... More
