Lovely park in central Sapporo

I came during the Festival for Snow Miku. I really love this park. It's really long and fits a lot of things for the festival and had lots of ice sculptures!

During the beerfestival there are many people. Especially in daytime. Later in the evening everything is closed. They stall a lot of flowers in the park. Maybe there is a contest? Or gifts? You can make a few good pics with the tv tower and "Sapporo" signs. When with friends it's a better place then being alone. It's a little... More

It was a nice summer in Sapporo with people are ready for the Beer festival. Odori park is the central place where people gather to enjoy the sun who usually are quite short in a year. You could stroll along the park and watch people do the sun bath and enjoy the beer at the same time although it's quite... More

This is a very nice public park in the center of Sapporo. It is a block wide and about a mile long in central Sapporo and is on the dividing line between the north to south of the city. As is the case in Japan it is clean and neat with statues, flower gardens, trees lawns and the almost mandatory... More

We walked in Odori park 3 times in our visit to Sapporo. It was summer and the place was bustling with stands and tents for the many summer events. Many residents were out too to enjoy the warm sun. It is a lovely place for family and young children too.

Like all parks in Japan, it was clean. It is like a miniature (but with much polite people) Central Park of NYC. All important places of Sapporo are nearby so it is worth a quick visit.

Odori means “Large Street’. It’s located in the centre of Sapporo, separating the city into north and south. The park was clean, filled with trees, greenery and a fountain. Sapporo TV Tower stands at the eastern end of the park. That is a plus for taking photos. On the day when we were there, there were some kind of festival... More

"Nice gardens, cool sculptures, fountains, etc." - what you'd say about most (kempt) parks. What makes Odori-park particularly cool is that Sapporo goes kinda crazy during the summer (not unlike Chicago!) - with festivals, exhibits, food tents etc, all centered on Odori-park. Its awesome to hang out in...

Huge park with various small sections for flower decoration. Some people sit there with simple lunch. Lots bicycles around. Nice weather with wind.
