I think I've been to too many beautiful universities (e.g., Peking, San Sebastián, Bologna, Yale) to consider this place above average. I had a meeting with a faculty so I had a look around afterwards, but it was nothing special. I wouldn't come here just to have a look around.

Don't miss out on this one. I came here for a morning walk and really enjoyed it. The best thing about it was that it wasn't busy at all!

We planned to just take a short walk to see the campus and ended up spending a couple of hours. We looked at the map and were intrigued by the "Model farm". This was very interesting - but only because of our interest in agriculture. If you are interested in farming or agriculture, you might enjoy this diversion. Lots of... More

This University located not far from Best Western hotel take about 5- 10 minute walk to reach and you can locate easily. The surrounding was very quiet with nice garden. Student canteen is a good place for breakfast start at 9am onward with reasonable price.

You can find the basic history of the Ainu people at the place. While not an extensive collection it certainly presents the cultural history of the Ainu.

It is huge university with big areas of outdoor park, gardens, creeks etc. When we visit on Sunday, there is a yearly festival there, maybe like University open day back in OZ but in much much bigger scale. Lots of people, lots of food (any cuisines in Japan and the world), lots of entertainments in outdoor area and lots of... More

Visited there in the spring and enjoyed the beautiful greenery views of Sapporo inside the university. If you are kind of a nature lover, you will enjoy walking along road with poppler trees and killing time near the pond. The view inside spring is extremely beautiful. Very close to Sapporo Station and actually can walk from the station to university.

Grey buildings are everywhere. Japanese students dressed in dull attires. People cycling on the roads. There is nothing to see here
