My favorite space in Sapporo. The autumn trees were incredibly beautiful. You shouldn't miss out, please go here.

It was already snowing (earlier than expected) when I visited the park in mid Nov 2019. The Park is quiet, and occasionally you could hear the birds singing. The snow is white and fluffy, pouring lightly onto the path that we walked along. We took the streetcar from the bottom on Mt. Moiwa to the park. It was a snowy day, and we felt like we were walking in a winter wonderland - we even sang the song. Since everything was covered in snow it was a little hard to tell where we were, but we enjoyed it anyway.

The park also hosts the Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara and a tribute to the US conductor and music educaor, Leonard Bernstein…

We love the winter season, so we took a stroll through this small park. It’s well maintained even in the winter months. There was few people there. More birds than people. The pond appears frozen, but unsafe to walk on it.
