A buffet on some of my favourite fruits!
Aug 2018 • Friends
Love this farm! I found out about this place and decided to give it a go. They have a free shuttle that will bring you to and fro the tourist information centre in Jozankei town (it's just 1 street). Thank goodness we opted for that instead of hiking in because it is quite deep inside the forest, and the roads were very narrow. If one is not familiar with the road nor with hiking, then one may get lost.

But once we got in, they did a good job explaining the charges and what we can do, off we went. We plucked the cherries directly from the trees and popped it into our mouths and ate. The cherries were juicy, plump and sweet! A wonderful experience if you are looking at doing something unique and close to nature.

Fruit Farm with Beautiful Scenery
Oct 2018 • Friends
I can say this is one of my favourite places in Hokkaido. As we travel on our own we could enjoy this place unlike if you travel with travel agencies. It is located about 1 hour from Otaru and Sapporo.

As I am from Malaysia, I have never seen an apple tree and the fresh apple hanging from there. Same goes to the prune and its tree. For this time of autumn season, we could only enjoy the prune and apple fruits. And guess what, we took them for our lunch after days of taking heavy meat to detoxify our body. However we could still see some grape trees and chestnut trees with fruits. The landscape of this place is also awesome, do go up at their viewing house.

For the entrance fee, you need to pay ¥500 and for fruit plucking/eating you have to add extra ¥1000, depending on the type of fruits available.

We truly enjoy this place and trust you will too.

Beautiful Farm and great for kids
Oct 2018 • Couples
Depending on what fruits are in season, you will be able to pick and sample fruits. There is an obstacle course that kids might enjoy. We went to the house on a hill that allowed us to take beautiful photos and even caught a rainbow!

Fruit picking - Jozaneki
Jun 2017 • Solo
Strawberries, cherries, plums and more at this PYO farm in a big forest clearing about 3 km from Jozankei village. Y500 for adults to enter, then a 30 min/ 1 hour picking fee. Mid June plastic house strawberries, then outside strawberries, July is cherries. Late August and Sept. to Oct. is plums, apples and grapes. Also hamburgers and BBQ area, genghiskan sets and meat. Kids play areas. Warning: weekends and holidays the pickers arrive at 9 am - by 11.30 the day's picking may be finished. Go early. Access: Take the bus from Sapporo or Jozankei for Hoheikyo Onsen, get off one stop before the onsen (it's pnly 2 minutes walk from the onsen) and then it is a 1.5 km walk along a single track forest road to the farm. Or hitch. Or take a taxi or rent a bike from Jozankei. Beautiful location.

Fruit picking - Jozaneki
Jun 2017 • Solo
USED to be "Sasaki Farm" - now rebranded as "Jozankei Farm". 1.5 km away from the Hoheikyo Onsen up a single track forest road - a big fruit farm. June to October you can pick strawberries, cherries, plums, apples and grapes. There is also a log house and outside terrace for hamburgers/BBQ etc. Some kids play activities.Warning: strawberry picking is best early. I got there at 11.30 am and it was ended for the day!! If you don't have a car access is best by taxi from Jozankei - about 15 mins drive. Or bus to the stop before Hoheikyo Onsen, and then a walk along the 1.5km road.
