A must in Sapporo

The view of Sapporo here is spectacular, and we were lucky enough to catch someone practising ski jumping (on wet grass). It ends at 6pm during summer, so plan well.

Enjoyed our time at the ski jump and the observatory. Great views of the city while enjoying some fabulous flavoured ice creams. the views while coming downhill on the chair lift was breathtaking.

This was totally worth a visit. The views are stunning, and it's fun to go up the chair lift. The museum is really worthwhile...there are a lot of fun, interactive exhibits so that you can participate in Winter Sports. The guides are super helpful in showing you how to do the games...even my 84 yr old mother participated and enjoyed... More

We were on a cruise with a stop in Otaru. We traveled by bus from Otaru, Japan to visit Sapporo. In hind sight we should have done so from Muroran, Japan as there isn't much to see in Muroran. Otaru has beautiful canals, picturesque parks, etc. But that is another topic. I highly recommend a to visit Sapporo, and in... More

When we visit yesterday, it was rainy and really foggy. Therefore NOT much to see from the observatory. But, we enjoy the quietness and relaxing feeling up here while sipping our cafe au lait. The ride up with chairlift also fun. There is also a hiking track and I saw a group of students walk there. The slope up to... More

A little bit expensive , but worth the price for the outstanding views over the city and the views to the mountains . All in all a nice place to spend an evening or even a day .

We came here during the daytime. We bought the tickets to get up and also with the museum together as a package. I didn't think much of the museum at first but it was surprisingly the one we enjoyed the most! I played with my siblings all the games inside and we had hell load of fun. I mean, where... More

Not bad at all, you get to experience how the athletes did their jumping here, and also do visit the museum in the ground floor area as there's plenty of exhibition on the history of ski & snowboard from the past to present . Tips: end of the trip do mingle in the cozy cafe down the road, it's a... More

We took the JR bus 14 from Maruyama Koen bus terminal to Okurayama kyojo bus stop and walked uphill to this 1972 winter olympic stadium. Its a nice stadium with a ropeway by the side of the ski jump arena to the observatory at the top. Great view of Sapporo city!

A site for the daredavil sportsman who slides down a guided ramp at breakneck speed ,launches himself into thin air and fly towards the foot of the mountain and by the time we reach the bottom on foot, he has already soak in the onsen, taken a bath and sipping a cup of coffee at the lounge. To get here... More
