My wife and I went for this tea ceremony. We had some problems finding the place but once we reached, there was a very friendly and warm welcome. After being explained on the procedure for a Japanese tea ceremony by an assistant, the official tea ceremony was performed by a Sensei. It was an interesting experience to see the detailed and serious way the tea is being prepared. After the Sensei had made tea for the both of us, we were invited to make tea ourselves. Needless to say that the Sensei's tea was a class better than ours :).
As the location is a bit difficult to find, it would be good if the organization could provide a walking route from the nearest bus stop or train station. This would have saved us about 30 minutes of walking.
All in all, it was a very nice experience which we would like to recommend if you have a bit of time spare to spend in Sapporo.

This program would be perfect for those who aim to:
・experience the atmosphere and spirit of tea ceremony
・rather enjoy and make fun memories than learning the specific rules and processes (beginners)
・receive neat & face-to-face lessons with a small number of people
The tea master and the staff were very kind and fun to talk with, and were willing to hear stories from you too.
You shouldn't worry about language since the staff speaks several languages.
I had a great fun. Thank you!

Loved the experience - the host and Sensei were lovely. There was a formal ceremony and informal session where you are invited to make the tea. It was a great learning experience and made me appreciate the Japanese culture even more.

I came with a few friends on a recommendation from our airbnb host. We had a great time and learned a ton. We especially appreciated the open Q and A session with our teacher after the demonstration and class. I also loved how much fun the teacher and other host were having. My friends and I obviously made many mistakes but they just laughed and helped us do it right. By the end, we were all laughing. Great times had and we learned a lot.

It’s super near to the Nijo market.
First time to attend a tea ceremony and it turns out pretty good. The lady was friendly to greet us when we reach early that the time I reserved.
Learn a lot from the tea ceremony from the sensei :)
In conclusion, good service and the sensei was so kind :) make sure you reserve in advance to secure your slots for the tea ceremony!

A fascinating experience learning about the traditional tea ceremony. Both teachers were very good - one spoke English and so she translated the other. They were very upbeat in spirit and happy to have us there, despite us probably doing a very poor job of making tea properly. You can't help but feel the need to be quiet and respectful. Would not recommend for a group bigger than 3 or 4 people as the room is small.
