Avenue of greenery a fine photo opportunity
Oct 2019
These trees at Hokkaido University are around 100 years old. The poplars stand tall and straight; together they are inspiring, forming an avernue of green. The poplars are a popular spot for wedding photos, particulary for Hokkaido University alumi.

Memorable avenue of poplars
Sep 2018 • Friends
The poplars at Hokkaido University are beautiful. There are actually two avenues -- one of mature trees, dating from earlier in Hokkaido University's history, and another, newer avenue planted at right angles to the mature trees.. The mature trees are very tall and straight, with a delightful aged appearance. The trees are in demand for photo shoots, we were told. The poplars are on the outskirts of the campus, which is quite extensive.. Everything is relative, it's not really that far to walk, and the effort is well rewarded.

Lovely little spot

This is a historic and scenic site on Hokkaido University. If you have any interest in Hokkaido University and a symbolic site - it is worth a visit while on campus. It is a peaceful spot and again, one that represents Hokkaido University.

Very far and not that good, but the university is nice
Oct 2016 • Couples
We read from guide book that this is interesting spot so we went to check it out.

It turned out that it located very deep in the university and we have to walk very far to get there. And when we arrive, nothing much to see...

the interesting thing I remembered from that trip is .. i found 4-leaves clovers around poplars area!

In my opinion, you can just check out the university and do not try to visit poplars row, it not worth your time.
