Many products and cheap if you know to bargain
Nov 2019 • Solo
This is a 6 store building and has many products - shirts, pants, jackets silk and many souvenirs. I highly recommend not to buy there electronics products as quality is bad although the prices are tempting.
In any case, you can bargain a lot.
It is recommended to come early in the morning - opens at 09:30.

beautiful, if commercialized designs
Jun 2019
The stores are side-by-side, offering somewhat similar merchandise in a commercialized strip. That makes it easy to compare, but it beware that not all fabrics are high quality - you get what you pay for. Look for textiles without cotton or synthetic mix - or just buy what pleases your eye + enjoy.

Awful
Nov 2018 • Solo
A tourist trap, Most of tour guides bring innocent tourists here. Many small shops which sell mostly fake brands, the place is dirty and ill lit. I you want to shop in Beijing – you'd better enter one of the dozens modern malls around.

Bargains found here!
Nov 2018 • Business
I enjoy window and actual shopping. I found lots of great bargains here, compared to what I would have spent in the USA.
My best finds were my prescription eyeglasses and suitcase. You are able to negotiate for the best price here. I found some cute designer purses and backpacks, a suitcase and t-shirts and sweatshirts. Give yourself time to look around and present your best bargain.

Barter hard!
Aug 2018 • Solo
I visited this place and they start at ridiculous prices. The bartering was hard so I gave up. But if you’re into that, go ahead. I prefer Beijing Silk Market much better as it is more organised.

Apr 2017 • Friends
You have to go there. This is a HUGE MECCA for shopping. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE barter here... If you don't like to Barter, just plan to pay 1/2 of what the vendor want to sell their goods . If the vendor says NO. Just Walk Away. Most Vendors will chase you down. Make it worth your while. This is there business and the vendors LOVE to Barter for their goods.

Get some energy drink before entering
Sep 2017 • Business
Take a step in here if you are in Beijing. It's a market full of virtually everything you think you need to have. Best way to bargain is to literally divide their first price by 5 which should be your starting price. Increase your price just 5Rmb at a time (Believe me it works even though it may be necessary to hear the scolding of the shopkeeper as if they are in loss by selling you in that price). If you have plenty of time then it's worth buying some silk which you can get in a pretty cheap deal. But I suggest not to buy electronics which can be faulty in first use. It's a very good place to buy gifts and souvenirs though. But before getting inside, eat some energetic foods that aids you in bargain.

Window shopping
Jul 2017
There are two places. One is an open space and the other is the indoor building with about 7 floors. The open streets sells mainly ladies night gowns, traditional chinese cheongsam and mostly female apparels. The ones in the building next to the open streets have more variety and caters to all. This silk market is not as good as the ones in Beijing. There are no shoes, bags or sports apparels. Female shoppers and youngsters would love this place. Most of the shops sells the same stuff. Price-wise, need to bargain but be nice when doing so, and they will also treat you nice😊.

Great place ....unless you are looking.for a made to measure suit
Jun 2017 • Couples
If like me you are looking for a made to measure suit at a.knock down price then don't bother coming here....just rows and rows and rows of questionable quality silk with every shop selling the same thing...the alternative is the fabric market across the road which guess what
.....ALSO DOESN'T SELL SUITS ! My advice think of what you want silk scarf or dress and go to the first shop.and buy it!

The name says it all!!!
Mar 2017 • Solo
There is miles and miles of silk item at the market but after it all looks the same and it is. It's all down to your battering skills.

Batter hard!!

You can also buy lost material most of the shops will sell dresses and scarfs. If you time to wonder the area you find some really good silk shops and there many to choose from and many that look the same.

Also don't forgot to walk up to the wholesale market next door (big black ugly build) and go to floor 5 and 6 I think. This is also a silk market probably have a few more deals to had there.
